Anyone who can do all the videos in the above post back to back deserves mad props. Post to tell me you did it and I will rate you five shrooms.
Dont hurt yourself though and start with only 5-10 pound weights the first time you do it! Wear good sports footwear and be careful on the landings! I broke my foot doing this workout once.

Learning combat skills and developing a ripped, powerful, muscular physique well gaining high level cardiovascular conditioning and fighting techniques is badass. Samurai were honorable warriors who were brave, deadly, disciplined and followed a code of honorable conduct. Therefore this series of workouts is called the Samurai series- they are its inspiration.
Its like calling a car a Jaguar or a Mustang. Your not imagining the car is actually a cat or a horse, your saying those animals were the inspiration for the car. I am not pretending to actually be an armor clad, katana wielding warrior from ancient Japan, just being inspired by them.
I do have a katana though.

O I thought you wanted to be a samurai.
A guy in my old neighborhood was training Kung-Fu and eventually he started walking around in these traditional Chinese outfits with a long braid and a semi-shaved head
It would be cool if you posted pics of your progress and I would love to see that Katana of yours! is it a proper one or one of those ornamental pieces of crap?

The kung fu lifestyle is beautiful, I can understand wanting to embrace it whole heartedly, but I dress like a normal Canadian
I will get my wife to take some pictures of my muscles and post them soon, since you asked
The Katana I have is not an authentic japanese historical katana made of steel folded hundreds of times. That would be badass! It would cost thousands of dollars but someday I want to own one if I become wealthy.
However my Katana is also not one of those ornamental pieces of crap. Those ones are made of toy grade steel , have no edge on them, and the handle will instantly snap off from the blade if you hit anything with it.
Mine is a real weapon, its made of one piece of strong, black steel (so the handle and the blade are one piece of metal) and it has a sharp edge and a needle point. Its a killing weapon. The advantage is that the handle will never break off from the blade, no matter how hard you hit something with it. Even if it loses its edge it can be sharpened but even if not its a 3 foot long piece of steel, its going to lay a beat down and has a killing point. Don't get me wrong I am not violent and have no intention of killing anyone, but I sleep with a few good swords and some pepper spray beside my bed.
Check out the trainer from my Samurai workout videos in his championship fight. He is an MMA champ, watch this fight then go do his workouts!

Moonshoe, kudos to you for starting this stuff. How's it developing so far?
Having trained for a few years in Tae Kwon Do (back in the day) I can tell you that what you get here will indeed give you good conditioning. What it won't give you, and I mean at all, is reflexes which are vital. So do this and benefit from the extra health and physical strength, just DO NOT expect to be combat-ready unless you actually train in combat, with a partner.
To get what I mean, try to imagine learning to drive for a few weeks, on a car that's not really on the road, moving among other cars, but it's sitting still in a corner of your room, you just push pedals and imagine that you drive and turn and stuff, just in your head. How prepared would you then be for real driving?
Especially the blocking / evading reflexes you can only train by responding to actual real stimuli from the outside, from a partner. Doesn't work solo.
Properly trained fighters also have feints designed to bypass even this first level of reflexes, as seen here:
By comparison, these training videos won't give you even basic reflexes, so you'll be fish in the barrel for anyone that's well trained in a dojo. I'd definitely practice and use my sprinting if shit hits the fan

yeah those real swords are proper expensive. If you ever come across one, never clean the piece that goes in the grip. They use the oxidation on that part to determine the quality of that particular forging.
I had a world champion Kung-Fu guy in my class years ago. He trained with lead filled rods so the actual swords would feel like feathers.
Taking pictures is a great way to keep track of your own progress. I did it when I started to train with kettlebells. I however failed massively and ended up injured and fatter than before
Also that easy workout is pretty heavy imho.

You are absolutely right! There is no substitute for real training like sparring and fighting against an actual opponent.
No solo training can ever make you a martial artist on its own. However, if you do train martial arts, these are the best conditioning videos out there to supplement it, and if you dont do martial arts, these videos are the best available substitute.
I have a background in judo, also did some tae kwon do (sp) and some krav maga.
Now I mostly train in kickboxing. I am focusing on building physical strength, endurance, cardio, technique, and size. all of which contribute to confidence and combat readiness.
But I agree there is no substitute for instruction from a present master and sparring with real opponents.
As for physique results though damn Coach Kozacs videos are really getting me in fantastic shape. My wife is going to take some photos and upload them here so you can see my muscles if you so desire.
