Congrats
Perhaps you both reside in states/provinces that require multiple license places. Many, if not most states, only require rear license plates making it all the more unlikely any dashcam actually caught a picture of OP's license plate.

I'll give you a little story OP
When I was in high school I got into a lot of wrecks, most just little bumps.
My friend asked me to go tour a college with him one weekend, it was about a 7 hour drive. About 30 mins into the trip I'm distracted by talking to him in the backseat (this whore he brought was sitting shotgun) and I don't notice that traffic is completely stopped ahead on the highway. I ram into the back of a van going probably about 45-55mph since I had slammed the breaks. Anyways the next week my car was getting fixed and I was driving my dads truck to school and back until I got mine back.
Off campus at lunch getting food, and I bump into a parked car in a parking lot. My music was really loud and I wasn't 100% sure that I hit a car, I felt a very small bump and in my head I'm thinking 1) no fucking way am I dealing with this after wrecking my car and 2) I was only like 70% sure that I actually hit the car
So I drive off, finish school for the day and get home thinking I got away with it. About an hour after being home 3 cops show up at my house and I get several tickets for leaving the scene of an accident and such. Luckily the cool cops took pity on me knowing I was just a dumbass highschooler.
Gotta think about risk/reward, outrunning a cop for potentially getting a ticket driving passed a school bus is NOT worth it. And you could potentially hurt a child which makes it even worse. The cop could have given you a warning too, the majority of the time I get pulled over I get a warning.

You risked a felony charge just to shave a few minutes off your drive time (if that much).. That's pretty much the definition of stupid.

Wake up around 5:30-6AM to head to the local gas station to get some rillos and get my wake and bake on. On the way there I see a fucking school bus on the opposite direction with the stop sign thing up with no kids coming out or in, so I said fuck it and drove by it.
So, you live probably less than 2 miles from where this happened.

op it's good that you or any innocent bystanders, including children, weren't injured because of your badassery. it's also too bad that you weren't caught. if it was my neighborhood i would be rooting for the cops to catch up with your sorry ass.

hmm well assuming no pedestrians or other commuters were around nor any children in the vicinity, I felt running the trivial stop sign was more than justified. Had I known a cop was hidden, I wouldn't of made the move. Good thing I left that piece of shit in my dust.
Fucking pigs. So much hostility in this thread.

And trust me, people get away from cops more often than you think. It's just never reported.

so you didn't know a cop was waiting to catch you doing stupid shit, but at the time you knew with absolute certainty that there wasn't anyone around for you to possibly hit. seems legit to me.

i'm anti-prohibition and i'm certainly no fan of the unprecedented amount of power the average street cop has now because of prohibitionary law. but we do need cops, especially ones to catch 20 year old asswipes tearing through residential neighborhoods in their audis on the way back from getting rillos for their morning wake-n-bake. fine life you're leading there champ.

Hmm I can understand the sentiment.
Maybe one day I will have kids and understand where you are coming from, but right now I really have nothing to lose and another things for sure I'm sure as hell not sending them to a public school to be indoctrinated haha
