Wbs sprouting?
    #19051363 - 10/29/13 10:33 AM (10 years, 3 months ago)

I decided to get a head start on my first WBS grow and getting the jars ready to PC before my new pressure cooker got here, but after a couple a days my wild bird seed started getting stringy. I don't know what it is but could I still pressure cook it or should I throw them out? Also I took out all the floating stuff (and I made sure I got ALL of it) There was just corn in the mix but that isn't a problem..

I would toss it. You pressure cook the grains so that nasty stuff doesn't grow on it. Obviously the nasty stuff started to grow which usually only takes 24-72 hours to start seeing. You could try it or not but personally I would start over.

Toss it and follow a tek properly. No need to soak for that long

i just boil about half my pc worth of water and dump that into a 5 gal bucket with my wbs in it, throw the lid on, wait 2 hours, then rinse it and strain it overnight. works like a charm for me.
