This season has been boring as hell. Hopefully they made every episode as good as the last one because this season seems like a big build up to nothing. I don't understand how people are hating on last season (season 3). After Jimmy's death, I thought the show was going to go immediately down hill, but last season was amazing. Gyp Rosetti was incredible, and literally every episode was mesmerizing. This season, dare I say, the episodes are nearly unwatchable, and certainly not worth a second watch, besides last episode. I was really hoping Dunn Pernsley would have been around longer. Fantastic fight scene though. So let's hope this season really picks up from here...

I hope this season gets crazy. They need to focus more on Capone and fucking Van Alden, that is the key. And show me Nucky, being a fucking badass. That's all I want, that's all I ask for.

I like it, but it has a bit too much character development and not enough action. Some episodes almost put me to sleep. I don't think the characters are that interesting to have entire episodes dedicated to them talking to each other. Its not like House of Cards were the characters are so interesting you actually want to see how they think, though I do think Steve Buscemi is great in it. If I ever watch it again I would skip a few episodes entirely.

The acting in it is top notch, as is the story line. I think it is better than breaking bad in a lot of ways.

me too. i just watched a couple episodes, and even after taking a pretty long break from the show, it still sucked me right in. it's an incredibly real show; and Spacey is awesome in it. everytime he starts talking to the camera, it's quite brilliant... he'll just like have a quick look like "yeah, that's how it is.
the expose of all the facets of trying to accomplish the "win" they aim for is great. the scenes between Spacey and his wife are frenetic and yet at the time very bourgeois and subtle; and the connections between the characters are very dignified.
Breaking Bad comes off as crass in comparison.

It's a real good show, but it is weird the way they kill all the physically attractive characters. They kill Jimmy Darmody, his wife and that lady she was hanging with. So Gretchen Moll is left and attractive, but she is such a pervert and creep. They killed the young guy from Ireland that Margaret liked, and I'm not sure if they still show his hot girlfriend, the maid. Margaret was appealing in every movie I saw her in: Trainspotting, No Country for Old Men, and some indie movie with a sexual theme. Not any more. The Rolling Stone review called her Prissy McFrowny.
Gyp Rossetti was a compelling character, but their uglying up this show too much. Van Alden and the war veteran Richard are good characters, but you know what I'm saying.

I can't wait for next week's episode, seems like this episode was building up for it.
Would love to see what could happen with Richard and Chalky teaming up.
Also, I just have to comment on the actor who plays Eli. I think he does an excellent job of acting disgusted and uncomfortable, he always has this look on his face that makes me chuckle.
