I think this should be the right place
    #19049581 - 10/28/13 11:06 PM (10 years, 3 months ago)

The world is not only stranger than we imagine, it is stranger than we can imagine.

Its definitely easy to forget how infinite this reality is. Its too easy to get caught up in who looks better in what clothes and who is driving what car. We live in an era where you can turn any corner or click any link and see something either trying to reel you in to some sort of scheme or tell you what you should do today and tomorrow. And the sad part is, is that weve all been programmed to be these "drones". You go to school your whole adolescent life and when you get home from school you have homework. Then you go to college(if you so choose) and do the same exact stuff and once youre done with college you start a career. Im not saying any of this is a waste by any means. Basically before you know it(or dont) youve been living under someone elses agenda not thinking for yourself your whole life. Its easy to forget to stop and understand how amazing this world is. Youre being bombarded with ideals, morals, and all types of social scrutiny when in fact all of that is halting human evolution(im not speaking physically). Im not some fucking anarchist or armageddon conspirator but the way we think as a collective human consciousness can only lead to more negativity. Im hopeful for life on earth although i dont think we will see significant change in our lifetimes. Simply there are just too many poisons to pick, too much negative stimulation, over-stimulation you name it.

The world certainly is strange and it brings relief to recognise this if you have been struggling to understand it. We may be incapable.

The true strangeness is evident in the out of body experience. Also here is some more relief - that there is an afterlife.

As long as you live comfortably, don't get any major injuries, and die of natural causes, and have fun in the interim, you can't really complain too much.

Our duty just seems to be.

Please present your evidence for this?  Oh and describe this afterlife.

I didn't really intend to give advice, just sort of make a comment. I do not think I'm getting ahead of myself in terms of there being an afterlife. Have you noticed there is no time? So for us to be eternal beings is not much of a step up from that, but it is the personal, direct experience of seemingly higher levels of this reality during spontaneous out of body experiences that suggests or proves for me the fact that we are caught in a circumstance in which death is not possible.

See you have the glorious Garden of Eden type myth coming from the Bible, in which God created Earth for us as a gift, then you have the modern scientific suggestion that it is all a random meandering that happened for no reason. Both are just myths (that we still unknowingly live by), what is actually happening is so confronting, so strange and so full of meaning that it is clearly trying to express some kind of mystery or puzzle unto us. It is a construct, it is up to something. We're not just roaming the Earth and by luck we pulled off a society, there is only the present and the present presents something to us, all the time. It is actually really weird that anything exists at all. And the construct knows it is weird that it is there. Reality is alive.

suggests or proves

these are two very different things and I think that slips by you in your eagerness to embrace something that feels safe or good to you.
