What's on the lawn? Coprinus Comatus?

Habitat:
Landscaped lawn. Heavy sod. Well hydrated. These were bursting from the edge of break in sod near a utility junction box.
Gills:
Blackish and dissolving on the edge of the cap, and a warm grey hue on the inside. Very tightly packed gills.
Stem: 4" long. 3/8" thick. White and smooth. Became slightly pink where stem met cap. Hollow and extremely fragile. When breaking stipe, it reminded me of how a plant stem breaks.
Cap: 2 1/2". Cylindrical. Warm brown at the top with scales that can be peeled up.. Color shifts to grey-ish white going down the cap. Curled and black at the bottom. Black goo all over the place.
Spore print color:
Black.
Bruising:
Grey and black
Nothing really to say about the scent.
The first couple of the photos are from the find site, and images under artificial light were taken about 5 hours later.
I keyed this to being Coprinus Comatus,
BUT I'm a total beginner!!! I'd appreciate any and all expertise.

Thanks for the replies! Glad my foot isn't in my mouth. Does anyone know a good thread about cooking these? I'm guessing that the younger fruits are better tasting/more easily cooked?

You may want to use the search. There was a thread about cooking these a couple of days ago.
It makes a good soup, It makes a good sauce, it pairs well with sweet onion ad it sautes wonderfully in olive oil.

Attn PWN hunters: If you should come across a bluing Psilocybe matching P. pellicolusa please smell it. If you detect a scent reminiscent of Anethole (anise) please preserve a specimen or two for study and please PM me.

My buddy made them like chicken parmesan tonight for dinner.
That was really good.
