Definitely think its a female now. Theres another cat with a flea collar thats lurking about. It was an orange striped cat full grown. I think male I ran him off. Ive seen this cat swatting at minnows in my pond before on more than one occasion. It usually cowars before I can look it in the eyes. This time it was seriously interested in the kitten. No doubt going to have to try and get her spaded.

Can you weigh her?  They say you can get 'em neutered at 3 lbs but if possible I like to wait until they go through one heat.  You must be prepared to lock her down for a week if you go that route.  One slip and you've got kittens.  I think they make a better cat if they have a litter but there's too damned many cats so don't do that!  But I'm convinced neutering too young arrests both their physical and mental maturity, cats I had done young were all subpar, needy, suckly, whiny...

No doubt there's a cheap spay solution where you are.  When there was no cheap neuter solution here the neuter scooter would come periodically, sign up online, females were about $50.  My neighbors were starving some kittens they had, so I started feeding/socializing them to find them homes, the local nonprof humane society charges only $25 for an adoption and that includes neutering.  The past few days they're not showing up morn and eve so they must be feeding them now.

There's a gorgeous male that looks like dcart's tabby if anyone wants a pretty tom kitty.  Come and get 'im!  While I'm glad they're finally feeding them, they probably won't be neutered and come spring we'll be awash in more starving cats.

Call your local pound and ask them about cheap neutering, they should know.  She looks like she's got a couple months before you need worry, but get the plan in place.  Don't be like my crackhead neighbors.  ;-)

Thanx for the info fry day!!! Yeah im going to call and see what the pound says. I might be able to get a deal since Im disabled i dunno. 50 bux would be worth it. I hear it can cost $150! Honestly Ive never been serious about adopting or taking in strays. If someone would adore and want her they could have her. I know that sounds mean but honestly Ive never had a pet aside from fish and simple pets. I couldnt even keep house plants alive until recently. Shed be easier to put up for adoption now. Its a very playful kitten still. I may end up keeping her. I just couldnt leave her out in the wild. She needs someone and we are having fun together for the time being. I tied a lighter to a long string and went catfishing! She had me rollin for a minute there! The company is nice too. For I spend the majority of my time alone.

Cats are usually pretty easy keepers.  But only you can decide if the companionship/lolz are worth the hassle and expense.

I don't know how fleas are where you are - but that's my biggest critter expense after food.  I hate using the flea stuff and my animals have been poisoned by frontline (grrr!_),  I usually use advantage but the last few treatments seem to have done not much for the dog.

If you take her with you everywhere while she is young she'll roll with it...  I traveled with my old kitty in my westy for 9 months, she was pretty good except for that one time she decided to get out and sneak off at one of the sf bay area homedepots, couldn't find her and we had to get back to the job.  Came back after hours and found her, begrimed with motor oil and parking lot gunk.  She never did that again.

Right now i have a ford escape with a rotted pit shock mount in the rear and its estimated 1200 to fix. Im depressed at this cost and am looking for a quick fix which there are none. I have 6 grand in a car that has 200,000 miles and ive owned less the. A yr! I feel stupid but itl get fixed and something else can go wrong then lol.
