Might be this http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Xerocomellus_chrysenteron
Habitat: Found on hill, in the woods, deciduous and coniferous trees, it appeared to be growing out of the ground where dead pines have been rotting for years. Gills: porous gills, yellow, possible angular shape
Stem: 3-5 inch's in length, about 1/2 inch thick on the largest ones,
Cap: scaly texture, dry, brown colored with mostly white and reddish hints of spacing between the brown
Spore print color: no print yet sorry, whats the best way to get a print if possible. These might have already spored.
Bruising: immediately turned bluish upon handling. when cut in half, the inside turned bluish immediately and has since faded.
Other information: Smells arent really pungent but doesnt taste bitter either. Found these in the PNW greater seattle area

Think you nailed it with Xerocomellus chrysenteron
For your information:
- It's definitely a Bolete as that is simply a mushroom with a fairly central stem and pores underneath the cap (With a couple of exceptions, but they all look quite different).
- Boletes grow on the roots of live trees (with just a couple of exceptions), not dead rotting ones, so it is more useful to identify the close living trees.
- Boletes are normally harder to get spore prints from than normal mushrooms, you'll normally need to leave them longer.
Keep Shroomin!

They go soggy and don't taste of much. I get them on my front lawn but don't bother collecting them.
