How the fuck is that not trolling. Either he beleives that and he is a goddamn fool or he is trolling.

Do you know how many fucking people are locked up in cages and have their lives significantly hampered or ruined in America simply because they had the wrong herb in their pocket?
Your statement that "either hes a fool or a troll" is projection.
THEY CHOSE TO TAKE THE FUCKING RISK! Are you people this deep into the drug culture that you can't see the ridiculousness of this?
Someone was automatically a slave due to their skin color. Someone is imprisoned and has their life ruined for....CHOOSING to break a law (regardless of whether it should be law or not).
People didn't choose to be black. I just...can't even fathom the stupidity of that comparison.

Fascist beliefs are cool.
Hitler was a pro.
So are all the politicians in America, and Harry Anslinger was a moral man.

Yes they made the choice.
But they are unjustly marginalized and persecuted for their beliefs and preferences.
Jesus christ I can't believe this argument is happening on the fucking shroomery.

Whether you like it or not. Prohibition is the law because the majority of Americans support it. You don't have to like it, of course...but that is the way the American system works. If you can rally enough people who are for the repeal of prohibition and get them to lobby Congress, you might be able to effect a change.
Unless/until you do that, you're just pissing and moaning like a poor helpless victim. Either obey the law or commit a crime and risk prison. The choice is always yours.

Of course it's not the same as the "slavery" that happened back then.
Guess what? There are many meanings of the word slavery.

This is incorrect. It's illegal because of those in power who profit from it.
Get your head out of the sand, you aren't even worth debating.

Dude just look at OP's original post. He clearly made this argument:
If marijuana is legalized today then it would be just as significant as that of the abolishment of slavery in the 19th century.
Marijuana prohibition is a form of slavery, yes. But definitely not on the same level as the form that OP compared it to.
Good god man. Someone was born into a life of misery for their skin color. And then someone is subjected to an unjust punishment...that they took the risk of being subjected too.

Those in power could not stay in power by acting against the will of the people. Those in power are PUT IN POWER BY THE PEOPLE.
If the people were truly against prohibition, it would end. Someday, it might...at least for certain currently prohibited substances. Nonetheless, at this time, the people are in favor of prohibition.

The majority of people support legalization or at least decriminalization of marijuana .
I am strongly opposed to marijuana prohibition and it see it as injustice , oppression and a widespread abuse of human rights .
Just as past forms of oppression had to go , so does this one. Abolishing slavey was a huge step forward , ending prohibition of marijuana will be another huge step forward .
Blacks do not deserve to be slaves . Women do not deserve to be oppressed . Marijuana users do not deserve to be persecuted or Imprisoned.
All these forms of injustice must end , and legalization of weed is likely to be the next step in this march to a better society .
That is all I am saying and everyone can easily understand this simple point and agree with it , or deliberately choose to misunderstand my meaning .

Moon is right about the majority.
The scales have tipped in the last year. Now over 50% are in favor of legalization according to the latest poll. I have only heard of the one poll though, and it came out last week... so the jury may still be out.

I have heard multiple sources saying the majority supports legalization or decriminalization in Canada and America and many individual states .

This is what I thought, as well.
It doesn't even matter. Big business doesn't give a fuck whether people think something is unjust, as long as they profit.

Only vis a vis weed. As I said, the majority support prohibition. Weed may be legalized eventually, but there will likely never be a complete end to prohibition.

Legalization would be one of the best things to happen to the economy. It would be a huge impact.
The slavery thing was an analogy

Big business is not inextricably connected to big government, eh?
I bet you subscribe to one of the two parties. Probably repub.
