Ok kool , I was thinking I will do a test of each and try to put a probe in the middle of the substrate to test it

I wouldn't put anything into my spawn bags after they are sterilized.
You shouldn't have any issue with those sterilizing times. Maybe put some jar rings between the bags is all I could suggest

I wouldn't... If you are planning on putting a digi thermometer in while PC'ing.
1. You will melt your wire 2. you will not get a seal on your pc
If you are planning on putting a digi thermometer after PC'ing you risk contaminating your grains

My digital thermometer is all metal , And ive done this before , you do get a small leak but if you have enough water you can easily create more steam than is leaked , Ive gotten a new smaller one which i think my rubber seal will be able to prevent the leak entirely , Ill report when i do it
On top of that most plastic will not melt at 250 degrees
