You guys have got to watch Peter Joseph's Zeitgeist - The movie. It is really interesting and will give you a lot to think about. It a documentary and it makes some really interesting observations. It is on Netflix if you have it.
Has anyone else seen it? What did you think about the comparisons between our modern religions and ancient astrology?

It's dead right about religion and banking. Having said that its still an entertainment focused video with a ton of inaccuracy.
Jesus is the sun god.

Yeah I have to admit there is definitely some bullshit in it but I really enjoyed part 1. It contained some really interesting points

I watched it on Neflix last week.
Few points are valid especially in Part 1. Dates are just fabricated to suit.

If they are so readily available you'll have no problem referring me to them and proving my point to the contrary.

Google is Satan. God put dinosaur bones in the earth to test our well earned faith the same way he invented no fewer than 7 preceding stories of prophets dying and resurrecting after 3 days....
Also December 25 being their birthday is quite coincidental as is the fact that it was a preceding pagan holiday revolving around the resurrection of the sun and longer days to come...
Some people are seriously.
Even Markos knows this Shit and he's ten times the Christian as this guy.

Maybe that's one for a rainy day. I won't sidetrack.
I'm too busy anticipating the truth that Krishna, Horus, Attis and Mithra were all born on the 25th December and everything is one and the same....

No need to anticipate that the catholic church, in an attempt to garner wide acceptance among people of the pagan world chose to warp Jesus into another carbon copy sun god...
Welcome to the way of the world.

I wasn't anticipating that.
...only your supposed readily available evidence which correlates with the claim of the movie.
Maybe Egyptologists and historians have something to learn here since they certainly haven't found most of these connections.
Welcome to Internet conspiracy and gullibility.

Welcome to being far to stupid lazy and brainwashed to have ever looked for this info yourself. It's a big internet. Search it.
Seriously, how do people.who believe Jesus is bread and wafers make it into a real job.

I'm surprised you've still missed the apparent point that your dependance upon the Internet (and documentaries inspired by the same sources of supposed evidence) is the very root of your entire misunderstanding....

Yeah, total dependence on an infinite source of information, much of which is cited when you look hard enough.

Why must we need to "look hard" if this evidence is infinitely everywhere? You are at clear conflict with your propositions.
If the evidence is there (which I believe it not to be), bring it to the forefront and we'll discuss further.
You bear the onus.
