The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI)

The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator is a classical personality test. To take the test, click here.
I had fun giving this test to all of my friends. I don't take it too seriously, but I do think it's interesting.
I have a hypothesis on where most Shroomerites will score on this indicator, but I need more data.
Show me your scores!
Here are my results:
INTJ
Strength of the preferences %
Introverted - 67
Intuitive - 25
Thinking - 88
Judging - 22
Mr. Material is:
- distinctively expressed introvert
- moderately expressed intuitive personality
- very expressed thinking personality
- slightly expressed judging personality
-------------------- I base my morality on physical nature; and my personal philosophy is based in power.

Similar threads have popped up before. I believe most of the shroomery, and likely most of the folks that are into psychedelics & the exploration of consciousness in general, are INTP or INTJ. No surprise.
I've taken the test a few times over the years. I have scored INTJ a couple times, but most often and this most recent time it was INTP.
INTP
Introvert(78%)
iNtuitive(38%)
Thinking(25%)
Perceiving(11)%
I think the MBTI tests are pretty good at generalizing ones disposition & personality....
I'm much more outspoken and ramble on about things on the shroomery more than I ever do in person, unless I'm loosened up a bit and/or on about a specific topic I'm into with ears that are willing to listen. Otherwise, some people are surprised to hear that I do actually talk .
I'm in my "head", almost always in ponder or observe mode as I go about the day. But I'm not much of a verbal thinker at all, so I don't really have to deal with an inner voice, or inner monologue even though I'm a very inward and introspective dude.
I enjoy interaction with people, so as long as there's some genuine interaction going on, beyond just small talk (something I fail at most of the time)...but I can only take interaction in small amounts, before I have to retreat into some alone time. I become mentally, and feel physically, drained very quickly when in social settings. Stimulants help tremendously in this area .
Most of my life I've felt like an outside observer, not so much a participant...as much as I DO like to participate in the offerings & possibilities of this (mostly) splendiferous experience called life!

I know how it goes.
I found some old home movies recently, they're from when I was like 3 to 6 years old, I haven't seen them in years and gave them a watch...Now I understand why my uncle used to call me a space cadet and would joke about me looking stoned all the time, kids in school joked about me appearing stoned all the time also (long before I smoked).
It was funny (plenty weird and interesting too) watching my self in the home movies...I couldn't help but laugh. I appear so detached and spacey. I was usually (and still am) either completely absorbed in thought, or completely absorbed in the observation of something, or completely absorbed in the stimulus of something (repeating a stimulus over and over, smelling, touching, watching, or listening to something over and over again). My parents would often have to say my name multiple times to get my attention, so much so they thought I had hearing problems.

I'd say the opposite. He is not really confined to one way of thinking, but stands somewhere in the middle of a few thought process types.

you know, not only is the computer test not as definitive as the ACTUAL test, presented by a Doctor; but also... when you get your "hit" on the Myers-Briggs, all the types stand inbetween one another in a sort of web, as in, they all connect together in some fashion. they are all juxtaposed to one another.

dontknow said: Some of these questions are hard for me to answer
Tests that are simply yes/no are hard for a lot of people to answer because not everything is so black and white. These tests should never be taken too seriously.
What seems to be more common here, though, is the abundance of people with the N function. Saw a couple extroverts post here but I think rulesq is the only person that got sensing over intuition and if he would have answered just one question differently he would have turned out with N too (1% S preference...).
The E/I part is pretty easy for most people to understand but I think the rest of the types are more complicated than most people think. Like feeling vs. thinking... pretty sure a lot of people don't understand what this means in regards to this test but there is more to it than "do you think or do you feel?"

the fact that they're all yes/no questions i think is better for classification, but not so much for deep insight.
yes/no, on/off, go/stop.. these are bits of information that are variable between two relative positions. together they form a pattern, a pattern that can be identified by certain definitions as a relation to the accumulated information bits\
its a lot like how computers work, and i think its a good system for classifying personality. but of course not the only way to define one's self. this is just like a structure for decision making, processing information, planning, and problem solving. we each have our own ways of doin' thangs, and this myers briggs thang is just meant to clarify the main categories of doin' thangs
your thoughts and expressions: internal(i)/external(e) information source preference: abstract(n)/concrete(s) information is processed thru: thoughts(t)/feelings(f) information form preference: structured(j)/chaotic(p)

myers briggs himself was intp

This time I got ISTP.
I would like this a lot more if it was possible to get the "right" answers. Some of them I have no idea ("You are usually the first to react to a sudden event, such as the telephone ringing or unexpected question") and some of them it's possible how I think I am is different than how I actually am ("When solving a problem you would rather follow a familiar approach than seek a new one").

INFP Introvert(22%) iNtuitive(50%) Feeling(38%) Perceiving(22)% You have slight preference of Introversion over Extraversion (22%) You have moderate preference of Intuition over Sensing (50%) You have moderate preference of Feeling over Thinking (38%) You have slight preference of Perceiving over Judging (22%)
interesting analysis!!! I can see similarities with most of it..
Famous INFPs: Homer Virgil Mary, mother of Jesus William Shakespeare, bard of Avon A. A. Milne (Winnie the Pooh) Helen Keller, deaf and blind author Neil Diamond, vocalist James Taylor, vocalist
Fictional INFPs: E.T.: the ExtraTerrestrial
Sooooo from what I can see from the similar INFP people, I'm some sort of hybrid artistic, musical, poetic lyricist with a lack of sensory awareness!!!......... and also with some sort of intergallatic cosmic child bearing abilities!!!!
