Am I Doing It Right?

I have cultivated once before as a learning process, but i only did it in a ghetto cut in half 2 liter pop bottle. It worked, but im ready to become a big boy and start a monotub. I just want to get some feedback of how it looks so far, and any tips for my particular set up.

im acutally going to work now, so i wont be responding till later. But i just wanted some feedback on how my materials could be best utilized. my jars are colonizing now, so i have some time to perfect the monotub. thanks guys.

Monotubs do not utilize air pumps or hoses.
The moisture in the substrate is enough to humidify the tub, and if dialed in correctly, the tub is basically set and forget.
I suggest reading thru some of franks teks in my signature to get a better understanding of what you need to do.
Sounds like you are mixing up your teks.
And what is in that first pic, and what is it for? Is that rockwool?

If i'm reading your LED package correctly it says 5000k? That's works but 6500k is what is really recommended.
Though, that's not where your main concern should be. Main concern should probably be figuring out exactly what tek you want to follow and reading up on it.

Looks to me like little peat seed starters, my bro uses them to germinate weed seeds.

hey yea i was mixing up my teks, i was doing research on it the night before i made it and the place in which i made it doesnt have access to internet so i was just going off of memory and trust me, i read about alot of the teks that night.
but its not wasted money, ill most likely end up utilizing the equipment for other teks as i experiment more with cultivation.
as for the first picture, lol, i was at lowes getting the vermaculite and perlite rock and thought about those flimsy black trays you use for soil or whatever, to line the bottom of my fruiting chamber. so the moisture wouldnt go directly into the vermaculite. but when i asked the guy there he said hed have to get a ladder to get to them and he handed me that. so not to look like a jackass i bought it. it is a seed starter kit, ill just take the starter things out and clean the tray, itll work.

Damn man its definitely tough to take it all in at once and make sense of it all
this is my best attempt to save you from a ton of reading
you seem like u want to step up from the pf tek so...
either plan on a monotub, or doing bulk trays in an fc
a monotub means you fill up the bottom 2-6 inches of the entire tub, that way your substrate alone is enough to maintain humidity
a tray doesn't fill up the whole up tub so it needs to be placed in an fc on top of 3-5 inches of perlite to maintain humidity
both methods usually involve inoculating grains(I use wbs) which will later be added to a mix of coir/verm/hpoo/gypsum/whatever.
Trays are a great way to get practice using grains, pasteurizing bulk, and taking care of a fruiting project. I started with small trays and when I finally did do a monotub I had a good idea of what I was doing.

Looks like you have just about everything you would need for a shotgun fruiting chamber or a pmp... as for a monotub... you need more ingredients. Coir or manure may be one of them depending on what method you were planning to use.

Dont go mad scientist... stick to the teks. your better off this way. your first grow you should do brf cakes and spawn to coir in a monotub if u want a big yield. or brf cakes to a sgfc. its not smart to go into more advanced grow styles for your first grow.
