yep yep you got yourself a puffball it looks like...
if you pick it before it turns yellow or brown inside, you want just nice tofu white and you can cook and eat it i did a couple weeks ago one just like that

not that ive heard but now u know where they grow there will be more in the area somewhere you could probly find a few more around...
they taste kinda woody i think when we tried pasta it was ok but i hear with eggs they are great and man that is alot of mushroom to eat they are so huge like mushroom doom doom doooom!!!

Yep, found 8 of them, 2 had been munched on by something non-insect, guessing opossum or coon. The one pictured was the largest but the others were close behind. I had no way to carry them out but I will return tommorow morning.
