Best jobs you can get without qualifications?

What do you think are some of the best jobs to look for that don't require a specific degree or anything like that?
Off hand - entertainment comes to mind but something that is more possible to get into and can be applied for as well.
One topic in the pub mentioned security - that might be decent. Maybe a job at Barnes and Nobles wouldn't be so bad at least there are a lot of books there and stuff. A medical marijuana job could be sweet but it's not legal everywhere so that isn't an option for a lot of people.

Buy an acoustic guitar, learn to sing and to play the simplest of chords. Once you do that you can do top 40 covers at any given bar and make a couple hundred dollars for each set!

Regarding selling drugs, that will probably cost you money in the long run. If you get caught and have a felony on your record you are likely to get stuck in minimum wage land for quite awhile.

I've seen a lot of people with no degrees making more as a manager, a union worker, a driver, or a server.
I'm not paying anybody to shove information down my throat on their time at an accelerated rate, when I can absorb the knowledge for free, and be my own boss when I feel like it, or switch jobs when I feel it's necessary, instead of dedicating thousands of dollars to a single career I may end up hating, and being stuck with.
I've never gone to school a day past age 16, and my resume is stacked with jobs. It never takes me more then a couple weeks to find one....they are always eager to hire me, I enjoy what I do when I do it, and if I don't I find something I enjoy doing. I make enough for me, and my responsibilities to survive, I eat good, I dress nice, I have a decent vehicle, and my bills are paid. Could I have gone to school and get paid a little more....sure.....do I need more? No. I am not trying to get to the top of anything. I am fine where I am at financially, mentally, and spiritually.
School may be for some.....but it should never be a forced thing. No one should grow up thinking they have to be educated to be important, useful, or a respected human.....that's just another way to separate us as humans.

Most of the high paying jobs I'm aware of outside school are hard work with less security. I can't hate on a great store manager but doing programming work or health field work (not nursing) can be great on an old body.
Again no hate intended.

I'm an auditor. Didn't need school, and do very little work. You just get paid based on experience....so you start off in the 10 dollar range, but every year it goes up regardless of where you work or transfer too. And like I said it's not a ton at start....it gets better....but it's enough for me. I work very little, get respect from those around me, don't get dirty, and enjoy myself.
It all depends on what your niche' in life is. I feel like one day I will go to school, but not really in hopes of furthering my career, but just to gain more knowledge I haven't gotten myself.

Full time sucks. If you want to be interested in your (hard) work, there's always entrepreneur status. Open a head shop any urban down town area and you can het high all day and work for yourself with some good friends as employees.
Even the weaker head shops where I live do well.

I never went to school or had any kind of formal certifications, but my last job paid $220,000 per year. Super cool bosses and work environment also. It was a consulting job that I expected to last 6 hours but turned into much more.
When you get consulting work the hiring process is a lot different, they did no background check and did not even ask me for a resume until I had been there for a month.

Yes, working in a hotel, especially if it's a nice hotel such as the Ritz Carlton or the Four Seasons. The reason being, you get a commission every time you upgrade somebody to a nicer room. You can easily make a few thousand each month on the commissions alone.

If you aren't a fucking pussy and can handle real work I suggest getting in to the construction industry and learning a trade. I do electrical work and make about 50 grand a year and have health insurance. It took me going through an apprenticeship program and lots of what i do is pretty grueling, but it pays the bills and I can go do it anywhere I want. Welders, Plumbers, Electricians, and HVAC (heating/AC) guys do pretty well. I've definitely heard of Welders who clear 6 figures but they work their asses off. I'm happy working 40-50 hour weeks personally. Carpentry can be good if you are are good at it. Painters can make 15 an hour if they are good at it and can do sheetrock and all that. Landscaping, irrigation, and other shit like that can all be better than minimum wage. If you are going to do construction work though do yourself a favor and learn a trade or at the very least try to become an operator. It always bums me out seeing 50 year old men doin grunt work making way less money than I do (at 24 years old).
I guess some people are in to the restaurant thing but it's never been my bag.

I'm lucky I've never seen somebody die on a job site, but it happens every now and then. We haven't had a shock death or arc flash death in our area for a few years now. I was just tellin OP that if you want good money without a college degree then real work probably the best way to get it. If you can't deal with being absolutely miserable certain days then it isn't for you. For me though the price tag is worth it. I've debated goin to Alaska for work cuz it pays so well and may do it at some point but I gotta take a damn lifetime supply of wax if that's the plan hahaha. Cold and lonely.

Get a job in consulting, be so poor at your work that they have to assign you roles "supervising" others, use this gained 'management experience' to slide into an overpaid managers role where you're not expected to know anything technical about your job, people will both fear and hate you, and you'll do F all work cos nobody can challenge a manager.

It was IT Security consulting. They called me for what I thought would be a 6 hour job to secure the place after an admin left on bad terms.
It turned out that the security work lasted a few weeks, and when it was almost done the lead admin quit, leaving me as the only person who knew how to run all the important servers. That is how it turned into a 5 month full time job.
I quit because it was mushroom season in Mexico and I wanted to go mushroom hunting. I told them that after July I wouldn't be available anymore.

Pretty easy. I never went to college but my resume looks good.
Usually when I go into job interviews they do not even ask about school. But when they do I tell them that I started doing IT Security consulting straight out of high school, and that impresses them more than a degree would in most cases.
I don't tend to get hired by boring, by the books types of bosses. But it does not take many interviews until I meet a boss that wants to shake things up a bit and likes my unconventional approach.

It's not like I went in there asking for 220k. A mushroom hunting sysadmin friend called me and asked if I wanted a quick consulting job just this evening, and I was like ok, how much do they want to pay? He said they have a lot of money so I suggested $100 an hour. He told his boss that I quoted him $165 an hour, and his boss was fine with that.
My resume says I started doing IT Security consulting in Chicago in 1996, moved to California in 1999 to run a website that distributes hacker tools, and worked several years doing computer security and penetration testing for the federal government.
It briefly mentions most of the common security tools, unconventional problem solving, stuff like that.
Basically I wrote my resume in such a way as to imply that I was a hacker when younger and now use my skills for good. Which is the truth, though I probably would have a hard time finding a job if I came out and said that.
When bosses read my resume they are a bit scared and a bit excited about the possibilities. It's a combination that works well.
I find that in the workplace, half my bosses are scared of me and the other half think I am super awesome. Either way works out well for me - they pretty much don't give me any BS, and give me wide freedom to fix everything from the network configuration to the locks on the server room door.
Most of my work involves gaining access to computer systems. Sometimes it takes me a couple hours and sometimes a couple weeks, but I never just can't get in. When I am done I let them know how to make it more difficult to get in. Sometimes they fix the holes and other times not, but I always provide good entertainment and advice, so they keep me around.
Half my jobs I concluded that I was hired or kept around just to entertain the bosses. They love sending in a hacker to stir things up a bit. I don't mind, if they want to pay me good money to entertain them with hacking stuff, it's a cool job.
I strongly recommend that people with good computer skills go into this line of work. Seems that there is more demand than supply, and every midsize to large company needs to have a computer security guy around.

I did it by breaking into a lot of computers in high school.
If you want to get started, I strongly recommend going to http://sectools.org and downloading the top security tools, installing and trying them one by one.
Once you get a handle on them you can put them on your resume, and if you have the top ten or 20 tools on your resume, that should help you break into the field quickly.
You do not need an apprenticeship, as everything you could possibly need to know you can google for.

Fucker came to my highschool saying he was a "railway engineer." He said he got paid to turn trains on and off. No college degree, 60k starting pay. Called it "The American Dream" to sit on your ass without an education and get paid big. I prefer Hunter S. Thompson's approach.

railroad jobs are sweet. I guess I look at it differently though busting my ass to make 40-50k a year. Injuries happen to lots of people in my field and we work all the time using our backs and bodies to complete a job. How crazy of me to envy someone who has a shot of not having a horrible back when he retires so he can enjoy being old for a little bit!

I don't have anything against railway jobs it's just that the cunt was walking around like he was the second coming of christ. He was arrogant and thought he was the greatest thing anybody'd ever seen and it was goddamn annoying. Maybe his job was cool but I would have liked to drive railway spikes through his joints and eyes.

There really aren't any. Even people with degrees are finding it hard to get work. You're best bet would be to start your own business or get an education.

I can't seem to find many jobs like all you fucking people can. God this job market sucks for me. I mean I was lucky that I found this superviser position at a starbucks in an airport. Pays better than what I've gotten paid since the god damn recession started.
Retail and shitty food service jobs are the only thing I've been able to find yet in this job market. I'm going to trade school right now and am almost done.
