Possible problems with my shroomkits?
    #19039700 - 10/27/13 08:35 AM (10 years, 3 months ago)

Hallo Shroom Community,
i've got some questions concerning my 3 Shroomkits.
All 3 have been ordered from azarius website and arrived 3 days after ordering, one is a Golden Teacher & Cambodia crossing, the other one's just called Moby Dick (albinos) an the third one is cubensis b+.

Now, after 3 weeks and nothing much happening than inoculationg the substrate, i decided to put them into a plastic container, with around 3-4 cm perlite in it, this was last Thuesday. Since then i have been fanning 2-3 times every day, and the small kit (they sent it for free, it's the b+) started to fruit. Well i don't know if one can say that, because there is actually only one small little mushroom coming out.

So my question(s) would be, why does it take so long? humidity is around 83% an temperature is 22C.
And i'm pretty worried about those white bubble like things that appeared on one of the larger kits, since i've never seen it in any picture on mushroom grow report, so i'm wondering if it might not be a sort of contamination.
All in all this is the purpose of this post, i wanted to ask more experienced guys about it. This is my first try to grow mushroom. Out of frustration i have already bought everything last week in order to do a new try if this is not going well( jars, rye seeds, vermicultate, pressure cooker and spore syringe b+ are ready to be used)
Here are some picture for you so you can see, really hoping that someone can help me here

ONe littel shrooms coming out, bizarre colour, shouldn't it be white and brown?

the white bubbles i don't really know (moby dick)

the Cambodia/golden teacher

all in all

Why are there no holes in your FC? A proper SGFC should have 1/4 holes spaced every two inches on all six sides in a grid pattern. Elevate the chamber to ensure airflow into the bottom holes. You want 3-5 inches of perlite, 4 cm of perlite with no holes is pretty much useless. Finally don't use grow kits, you will get better results doing some research and doing it for yourself. It will probably cost less in the long run too

Your aerial mycelium is due to a lack of FAE as is your sad looking aborted pin. Get your FC built to spec and you will see better results. That bubbly looking mycelium does not look good, if it turns green be sure to toss it asap.

:goodluck:

thanks for the advise, much aprreciated!
I've put the holes in the box yesterday, hope it's not too late. Anyway, the bubbly one is becoming green and moldy, you were right, throwing it out now.
I know it might be better, almost everybody on this forum telling so, but i thought for first try ready-to-grow-kit was ok...

A kit will teach you nothing, and failures will frustrate you. PF Tek is the perfect way to begin this hobby. You will learn what the mushrooms like, the successes will motivate you, and have experience to move up.
