Habitat: Growing from soil in pine/leaf litter under an oak tree. Surrounded by pines and a few white birch trees.
Gills: Brown gills, attached
Stem: 3 inches long roughly, 1/4 inch diameter, solid white
Cap: Brown almost caramel color, around 1 inch in diameter, slightly umbo in center. White flesh
Spore print color: Black
Bruising: Blackish where I lightly pinched on one to pull it up.
Other information: No scent at all really

Now that I actually look at the other photos I took again I am not so sure.

These were growing from fallen a limb of the oak tree about a foot away. I'm not so sure they are the same species anymore.

I blew it by not grabbing specimens of each The more I stare at it the more I think I see white spores between the gills where they attach to the stipe in this picture.

Spore print is obviously brown/purple brown. Hypholoma comes to mind as riverdweller suggested, but they just don't fit the bill entirely. Gill attachment is kind of odd.

I feel like the picture of the cap covered in spores could be a different species than the two under the tree. Probably a Hypholoma sp.
The ones with blackish spores on one cap were growing from wood. With what seem to me to be adnate gills.
The two growing from soil had roots coming out of the bulb on the bottom of the stipe (not sure if that's relevant). With what I would call subdecurrent gills.
I am going to try and find that spot again and get samples this time.
