are you projecting? no one is bragging about fighting. we are arguing/debating about what aspects are important in a fight.

No this thread was obviously started with the intent of bragging about "I can't reach the top shelf but can knee a guy in the face"
Size plays a big role. Stop denying it, you being 6 2 should uderstand that if you fought someone 5 9 you would have the advantage.

I do. I've sparred a wide, wide variety of people. And what I learned is that size plays a role, but skill and fitness are much, much bigger factors. I sparred a man in his 30s maybe 5'6" or so tall, shorter smaller guy, and I had tons of reach on him. So he always tried to get inside, and shit that guy could fucking unload some punches. He was quick, strong, and fast.
Respect is the safest play.

I'm a medium size guy. 6'2" 170lbs I've beaten guys bigger than me, and I've also been beaten by guys smaller than me. I have no formal training at all, but I do know how to fight, I'm fast, and I have good technique. This thread has turned into a pissing contest pretty fast.
Size matters to a point, but its all about technique.

I'm a bigger guy and I've gotten rocked by a smaller dude before, but he had one hell of a reach. I don't like to fight though, I usually just whip out my dick and chase them with it.

But, at some point, size and strength win. A 75lb child that is a karate black belt probably couldn't beat a strong, fully grown 200lb man.

I can relate because a lot of the smaller guys I know act the same way. It cockiness. It annoys me when some little shit runs his mouth all night then when it comes time to handle shit they either dip or get knocked out then dicks drawn on them.
The same can be said for some bigger guys. Most humbling experience any human being could have is getting their shit rocked. I personally have never been beat up by someone smaller than me. I have choked out guys bigger than me though so yeah. Size does play a role. Obviously other factors but it does play a role. To say other wise is just idiotic.
Like said above though there is a reason for weight classes.

I recall you bragging about fighting, you must be fucking tiny

I've noticed to things.
A lot of little guys will mad dog a bigger guy only to get their bell rung.
And the ones who always talk about technique... Usually don't have much. Kicking at someones knees is a good way for them to get in closer and grab you. And once the bigger guy has a grip. It's done play dead.
It usually requires power to do damage...
You can be 5'7" 140 quickest hands. But I have anger blackouts and power on my side. Outside of professional fighting size is a huge factor. Notice it takes a long fucking time to see a ko in anything below middleweight?

I'm about 5'7" 135-140 lb. I've only been in 2 fights. First one this random mexican was trying to hit on my (ex)gf and i just grabbed his neck and squeezed. He swung at me once or twice glancing my face. When I released my grip to start swinging he dropped to the floor gasping for air. (I have really, really strong hands from what I do for work) That guy was probably 5'10, in decent shape, probably around 175lbs.
Second one I was fucked up, pretty much looking for trouble. I don't remember why I was so pissed off but it was one of those "fuck everybody" days. Anyway, I had been drinking at a friends party. Some guy was looking at me wrong apparently. I remember saying "what the fuck you looking at bro?" Then he walked over to where I was sitting and started talking shit. I think he pushed me and apparently I uppercutted this guy while getting out of my seat and knocked him down. This guy was fucking big, 6ft easily, buff but the kind of douchy "i wear abercrombie and lift weights" buff(you know what i mean lol). I don't remember a lot but I do remember just fucking wailing on this guy landing punch after punch after punch, just fucking ruthlessly. He definitely got me good a few times but I won that fight. Honestly, if i wasn't in such a pissed off mood that day, he probably would have kicked my ass.
So ya, smaller guys can definitely win a fight against a bigger guy. It's really mostly a mental thing. If you're scared of the guy or even consider for a second that you might get your ass beat then you've already lost. If you're small and have to fight someone bigger than you, just be fucking rutheless, become an animal, or you will lose.

yeah, because it's humiliating to the big guy to get his ass handed to him by someone half his size and mostly because it prevents people from claiming the fight was fixed because the little guy won
it's about the drive, some small guys have it, some big guys do, I have the same engine in me that you do but if I have no fear of getting hurt and you do, that leaves you at the disadvantage. you say you've never been beat by a smaller guy, well I cant find a smaller guy so everyone I've fought has been bigger and I havent lost yet because I dont fight stupid, I dont go into blind rages and swing wild, I dont have fear of being beat and most of all, I dont fear what I will do to someone in a fight
