Waterlogged poo
    #19036125 - 10/26/13 03:15 PM (11 years, 2 months ago)

A couple of my jars fell over while I was pasteurizing some poo, and now they're waterlogged. :crankey:

It's only like 2 of 10 jars but it's enough to fuck up my day. I'm thinking squeezing the extra water out of the offending poo and adding some dry verm when I'm mixing it all around in the tub. Anyone got any better ideas? I'm sure this happens to people.

unless yr very careful, when you start squeezing that water out yr gonna un-do the effects of yr pastuerization... better to just do 2 more jars, imo...

Don't squeeze it out, and definitely don't add dry, unpasteurized verm.

Dump out those 2 jars and add verm until it's proper again, then re-pasteurize.

Next time, fill the pot with jars no matter what. Jars of water if you have to, just something to support it so your sub can't fall.

Lol how does squeezing the water out undo pasteurization?

It won't, it's just ridiculously hard to squeeze out the right amount of water. Which is why I suggested just adding more verm.

open air, contact with hands, etc... it may not be truly "undoing" the past, but it introduces more wildcards than i'm comfortable with...

It doesn't hurt anything. We all spawn in open air with our hands. As a matter of fact, when mine is done, I dump it in the tub and toss it till it's cool enough to use.
