Bruising, burnt grains, or contam?

Would you g2g this jar? I shook it up a few days ago when it was at like75 percent. Basically immediately after I noticed what seemed to be some kernels with bruising. Seemed more of a dark blue. I just checked on it today to see if it was ready to g2g and I notice those dark blue spots are more of a black. I didn't inspect very close the first time because I just assumed bruising. Does brushing turn black over time? Ha anyone seen this before. Any idea if safe to g2g?

It is organic actually. Great river milling company to be exact. However this is the first jar out of a 50 lb bag I've noticed with so many black grains so I'm curious as to wether its a contam or not. I may have just not noticed on some of the others. Maybe if I open it in front of my flowhood I can decipher by the smell. I'm just curious if anyone maybe recognizes this as a type of contam they have seen before?

Never seen that in any of my rye jars; I use organic as well. It doesn't scream contam to me either. Do any of the other jars exhibit that? If not, I would play it safe and trash it.. take a whiff too, as you suggested.

I just g2g'd them as I had some extra grain until I reup anyway and figured worth a shot. I smelt the jar afterwards and it smelled like roses. Or rather, healthy fungus. I guess well see what happens

Best of luck! Might be ok; since the contam didn't take over completely after shake. Fingers crossed.
