You could save a lot of lives with the money you got from the surgery. Think of all the poor starving kids around the world you could help
Still, it's selling a life. If that doesn't sound fucked up to anybody else then I don't even know.

Not worth it to me if I don't get something out of it. If my other kidney fails then I'd be in his situation but broke.
This is the only reason I wouldn't do it. I would still think about it long and hard though, but I think in the end I would decline. I sure as fuck would charge however much he's willing to pay though.

Because they're still inside my body. If I were to be ejected from a vehicle, died on impact and my kidney happened to fly out of my body and land across the street, they can take it and give it to someone, sure. But you aren't going to cut me open dead or alive for the purpose of taking my organs and giving them to someone else.

Not really. You're taking a risk with surgery and he's getting life out of it. A lot of peoples kidneys fail, but we have a backup kidney so even if one does fail, you won't die. You're too naive to think you'll be fine with just one kidney. You're taking a double risk, one with the actual surgery and two if your kidney fails
I'm not going to risk my life for some dude I don't know if I'm not getting something out of it.... surgeries aren't risk free.

I will only give my kidney to a family member, and I wouldn't charge anything for it.
When I die my organs are free game though.

Money won't save a surgery from going wrong or keep my kidneys from failing. I'm sorry you disagree, I simply would NOT ask for money for such a thing

Imagine getting renal failure and cutting your life short by a few years just because of caring for someone else.
This. I'd have to look into the data to get a sense of how detrimental a kidney loss is. However, at the moment I don't think you could pay me enough.
I think for sure your life and quality of life would decrease. Less drinking, eating bacon once you can filter less.

Well if that's what you actually believe in then great. In my opinion though, that's kind of like having demands as to what will happen to your apartment after you move out of it.

I would consider it if the money was right, the only thing I would worry about is if I would need it later in life.
