Going to work while still under the effects of liquor?

I did this a last at my old job, it actually caused no problems for me (as far as work goes). I'm doing it for the first time at my new job and this may or may not be interesting. These jobs are all heavy customer service and I wonder how many people knew.
Anyone else enjoy this at all? I never seem to get hangovers so it's very easy.

ive gone into jobs still drunk. it really depends on the people you work with.
years ago i went in after a nights worth of lsd and mdma and a shit load of alcohol.
ate the blotter around 12am, the mdma around 3 am, then started drinking around 5am then went into work at 9.
was an interesting day none the less...
i did sleep like a bitch that night though. kpins were BEAUTIFUL!!!

Then everything is like 10x harder. I don't have a problem doing a shitty job at someone else's business, but I wouldn't at my own.

At my last job I would go get drunk all the time on the clock. I worked until 8 and everyone else left at 430. So if I had my shit done, which I usually could by about 530, I would go across to the street to this bar/restaurant and drink $1 PBRs and watch TV or chat with the waitress that was working until it was half an hour before clock out time. I would go back and do whatever had accumulated in the couple hours since I left and then go home. It was pretty awesome.

Exactly.
I think the only exception might be as a cook or chef in the restaurant business. Every restaurant I worked at when I was considerably younger, most of the line cooks would get drunk as hell during their shift. Among them there would be a random cook smoking crack in the freezer, and the pizza cook taking acid once every couple weeks or so on the job.
Not that I condone any of this, but it's really prominent in that business. I'm trying to find an excerpt from a book called kitchen confidential written by Anthony Bourdain (A very prominent chef that worked in the business for 30 or so years in the shittiest of restaurants to Michellin Star restaurants) There's a part of the book that talks exactly about what I'm referring to with the drinking and the drugs in that environment.

I think people should do there drugs after work, but I'm a bit of a hypocrite because I used to get high with my co-workers all the time when I worked the line at Earls
I don't do drugs at my present job and won't ever again, I did it once but I won't do it again.

I've drank shots of whiskey with my boss before when I worked at a kitchen, out of the little metal ketchup containers.
I also go into work high a lot now, but that's because I work at a smoke shop. My bosses also occasionally give me free samples of kratom extracts and the like to test.

when I was a driver at pizza slut years ago,i wouldn't get drunk persay,but at the end of the night I would go over to the beer tap and fill me up like 32oz soda cup full of beer and sip that while I did my clean up duties

when i didnt deal with people and didnt drive customers cars we had a few cocktails at lunch, never smashed but it made the remainder of the day a little more pleasant.
but enter dealing with customers and driving their cars.. put a halt to that..
although i always thought i would sell more if i was buzzed up talking to them though
