Contaminated WBS -----> Worm bin???? Quesiton
    #19033225 - 10/25/13 09:16 PM (10 years, 3 months ago)

So i have a worm bin (love them! great for me and environment)

Anyway, so ive had a couple jars so far of WBS go bad from a green/grey/darkish contam. And at one point i went to dump it/poured water on to "stop/wet spores" and literally clouds of shit came up

Im talking looks like a smoke machine clouds, im assuming this was an ass load of spores?

Its happened two or three times now, first time was in my kitchen :/ with me breathing it all in. After that i started putting them outside or injecting water via silicone port and then putting in bin.

Is it okay to put in worm bin? worth it? is there a good technique for avoiding the cloudy dusty spores? should i put it outside first or something? Just want to do whats best for my health, my cultivation success, and the health of my worms.

Thanks boys!

Just PC that shit and dump it in the trash. Nothing good can come from releasing a few billion spores into your house

Yah thats probably the best option only thing is using the PC to 15 psi for 60+min is a decent amount of power, im trying to be very efficient/watching my power bill.

If tahts the right way ill probably end up there but most recently ive been trying to dump it outside in a bucket cover with coir and then see if i can get a jump start on composting it before moving to my worm bin but so far it just looks dry and still produces the cloud of spores/gross dust :/ maybe keep it wet/cover it
