That is one I have pretty much managed to avoid
Maybe its because of all the backside poundings you took sitting down on roofs.

Yeah, also why I got shot in the first place. Heroin/methadone mostly.
That sucks, how long you been clean?
I try to limit my opiate usage but often times I find myself using a lot more often than I'd like, I always catch myself before I go off the deep end though.
I'm trying out a new plan of only using drugs one day a week, and rarely making the drug I use that day an opiate, it's been working out okay so far, I hope I can stick with it.

Besides stretching and trying to be conscious of my posture...does anyone know of any routines to improve posture?

I experience some pain virtually every day, usually it's back pain, sometimes it's leg/knee/foot pain.
It usually is only mild pain, often times it moderate pain, and once or twice a week it's severe pain.
I try not to take anything for it because when I take a lot of NSAIDs my stomach hurts, and they only usually provide mild pain relief.
I have bad posture and have been overweight most of my life, I'm trying to improve on both but it's hard to be active for more than a short period of time when you're body aches.
I don't mean to sound like a bitch and I know everyone aches, but I'm only 21 and I don't think I should be dealing with this much pain on a daily basis.
Is this much pain normal? I want to talk to my doctor about it but I don't want him to just be like quit being a bitch, everybody deals with that much pain.
Sitting meditation and yoga are good for improving your posture. It takes practice to know how to hold your spine so as to minimize stress on your joints and muscles. Try sitting on a pillow (or two or three, depending on what feels best) for half an hour a day, taking deep breaths. Make sure your legs are folded beneath your pelvis, with your shins and feet touching the floor. With every exhale, relax your muscles; with every inhale, adjust your back and shoulders so that the center of gravity is perfectly and evenly in the middle of your pelvis and shoulders. Always keep your head erect and your line of sight level, parallel to the floor. This will train you to maintain a healthy, painless, sexy posture. I haven't practiced in a while but the effect on my posture from doing this for a few months on the daily is still with me. It'll also train you to regularly take complete lungfuls of air, something that is easy to neglect but very important; hypoxia leads to unnecessary stress on the muscles and joints, causing pain.
Other than that, you might want to consult with a doctor. Chronic pain is a real problem. It will fuck up your life if you don't find a way to manage it. It's distracting and it stops you from sleeping, eating healthy, relaxing, etc. while allowing the harmful effects of stress to accumulate over time.
