Is this storage setup good for long term?

Ok in the past I had a lot of issues keeping my mushrooms dry and after a few posts I decided to buy a vac sealer and also follow something sagescruffy told me to do which was to take teabags and pour the tea out and fill with desiccant. So I have been leaving my mushrooms in my desiccant chamber for around 3 days then I put them into a Ziploc bag with one of the desiccant teabags and I get as much air out of the bag that I can and I vac seal around the Ziploc and place in the freezer. Is this sufficient to keep them dry for a couple years or so?

I've had less than perfect experiences with vacu-seal bags.
After a few months of storage, I found some of mine had gotten rubbery again and my silica turned from blue to pink. That indicates they are used up.
I'm sure I did something wrong, but I've read on other forums that those bags aren't good for long term dry storage.
I currently use wide-mouth half gallon jars with a homemade silica pack. I vac seal the lid with a lid sealer attachment on my foodsaver.
You can buy empty tea bags and fill them yourself. I seal mine with an iron. I'm in the process of writing a tek.
Sorry I didn't answer your question. But I wouldn't put them in the freezer.

Why do people not put them in the freezer anymore I figured it couldn't do much damage if their completely dry right? also the only ones I've had that have done any good have been in the freezer in just Ziploc baggies and they still seem cracker dry.

My vac sealed bags stayed good for months I'm sure that if you had a fruit in there that was less than cracker dry it could screw up the whole bag though.

condensation can happen in the freezer.
as long as they are dry and in a properly sealed air tight container they will last quite a while.
