God, I was filled with joy when I noticed these on the ground on my way home from work. You think its muscaria?
Habitat: Close to a road. In a dirt area with bushes and a few small trees.
Gills: White
Stem: White, short and bulbous. Has little rings at the bottom
Cap: Red to orange with white warts. Older ones have opened up more
Spore print color: Do I have to?

Is there a good way to dry this many mushrooms at once? I only have one little dehydrator.

Yeah there were some that had been eaten away at so I just ripped em off.
That would be horrible to dry it out and just have a dead slug in there

OH OH OH! we have a winner. I wanted some way to at least try to spread them.
Maybe I should take a spore print and just make a dirty spore solution and go water a bunch of trees with it?

I dont really like to dry em like this...muscaria are thick and they take a LONG time ( I like to keep the caps whole 'cause they look cool in the jar). The ones I did this week took like 10 hours and 5 still molded after I took em out. If you use this method slice em up and put a fan in front of the oven blowing in on low. It helps. Just my $.02 Good luck

BTW, these were next to a pretty busy road. They were young mushrooms most of them, so I figure they were directly exposed for 3 or 4 days?
Thoughts on that?

Was it just like Christmas morning under the tree?
If you wanted to spread the joy. Would taking a print and using that to inoculate agar before making a super soakers worth of LC be worth the extra time?
