MEA Only Thing Needed for Culture Slants?

Besides a poopsicle stick, toothpick, or wooden dowel and water, is MEA the only thing needed for a culture using polyfilm and vacutainer lids and tubes?
Can I just get away with using the following for long-term culture storage?:
MEA http://fungi.com/product-detail/product/antibiotic-malt-extract-agar-12-pound.html
Vacutainer Tube
Red Vacutainer Lid
Parafilm
Wooden Dowel
H2O

Anyone?
With so many recipes out there it's made me confused. Isn't plain old antibiotic MEA good enough on it's own?

Just use regular MEA. Antibacterial agar should only be used if you have a bacteria problem.

These are the TEKs I use. They're all as cheap and easy as possible, just like your mom.

Thanks!
After inoculation how long should one wait before the slants are put into refrigeration? Should they be put in the fridge immediately after inoculation, after some growth, or after fully colonized?

I found my answer.
http://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/13696637#13696637
"I let the mycelium jump off the transferred piece into the fresh agar in the slant before refrigerating. No more than 5 or 6 days. The slant doesn't need to fully colonize, but in a few months when you pull it out of the refrigerator, it will be full of mycelium." RR
