very nice man, don't forget to have a little vasoline for the metal seal it really helps preventing sticking.

Man those AA941s are so large.  921-926 is the largest I'd want to go.  I love the speedy work of my 910 a lot, I'd rather have 2 of these than any 1 large cooker!

You can tell the newer ones by the new handle design. I hardly ever use my 941, it's a beast. I love my 1925x sterilizer though. I'd love to have another.

If anyone wants to buy it's baby brother, I have a 1915x sterilizer in the marketplace that is brand new in the box.

Sorry to hijack your thread.

rumfor69, The techs tell you to use olive oil around the rim.

"Man those AA941s are so large.  921-926 is the largest I'd want to go.  I love the speedy work of my 910 a lot, I'd rather have 2 of these than any 1 large cooker!"

I run two 1915x sterilizers at once and they are a hell of a lot faster than the 941.

The size that poopy mcpooperson picked out is perfect.

I hope that's not a flat cook top. Be careful if it is.

Good choice poop. You'll be smiling every time you use it.

booster,

i just cant stop looking at my 921. shes just so pretty. i dont know what im gonna name her but its gonna be an old school name like ethel, beatrice, or bernadette.

i was just reading up and researching about the stove top. it is a glass flat top. there are so many mixed reviews for it and against it. i dont think ill chance it as i dont want to buy another top. i was thinking of getting a cheap hot plate. you heard good or bad things about hot plates? would a $20 hot plate take a year to bring it to 15 PSI?

anyone know of a specific wattage i would want to buy to maximize my time with the 921?

I have a glass flat top stove so I use a portable gas burner to heat mine. I think that's the best route. It's way faster than electric

:whathesaid:

I am lucky to have a gas oven. I usually run the 1925x and the 1915x at the same time with no worries. I have no experience with the electric tops. I run my 941 on a double burner gas stove outside. I've read that you can use the single burner for the 941 so it's a given that yours can do it. I have to run my propane at a minimal level to keep it at 15 psi ONCE IT GETS UP TO 12 psi or so. The trick is to get it up to the 15 psi and have it stay there. Once you have it settled at 15, it's a cakewalk.

Do you want me to take a pic of the 1915x so that you can drool over it? Then you can sort of balance out the weight of the pressure of the glass cook top running both at the same time. She is a beauty.

My 1915x's run at 17 psi when I have the range top as low as it will go. Right at the scary zone but I've never had a problem. :pm: me if you need more info. Don't forget to run a tiny bit of olive oil around the rim before you begin.

They used to buff and shine all their products to a mirror finish. I have one 1915x that I bought second hand. It is my favorite one. Now they put a matte finish on them to save money I guess. In the end it doesn't matter, the outcome will be the same.

Sincerely,
bootster

These things are beast.  I have a two burner model.  You can find them a lot cheaper through third party sellers. http://www.campchef.com/stoves/single-burner-stoves/universal-output-single-burner.html

This is the one that I have.

Double Burner

I got it from Costco years ago. It's great for the 941.

I've got this one. www.campchef.com/stoves/two-burner-stoves/outdoorsman-high-low-combo-double-burner-stove.html

Has one high output and one low.  Back in the day I owned a double burner with both being low output but lost it when my RV was seized by cops on the road. I kinda wish I opted for that again as I hope to get another AA PC somewhere down the line. ATM I own an AA 930 which is just fine for now. I'd like to get another one though.

The I got the high low combo assuming I could bring my pc up to heat fast with the high burner and move to the low to run my cycle at 15 psi as the high is harder to calibrate. However after doing that a few times it doesn't take that much longer on the low and an AA 930 filled with 14 quart jars isn't much fun to move even if only a few inches so I just do it all on the low. I gather I can do a whole cycle on the high but not as much control with the heat.  It's either barely on or blasting.

It is awesome for bringing a big pot of water to a boil fast though.  Although I can't say I've used it all that much for that yet.

I only use mine when I'm trying to do 19 Qts at once or a lot of bags. I don't use it as much as I thought I would. It's like anything though, when you gotta have it, you got it.

I have an 80 Qt pot that I use to steam things. I'm trying to devise a way to use it as a pasteurizer.

I also have a glass flat top stove so I was pretty hesitant about getting a large PC, that and my wife hates me taking up the stove for my hobby  So I got the 75X and now I do my sterilization in the basement
