To fruit or to spawn?

Prepared 8 pint containers of spawn, about half of them are fully consolidated. The one container that grew the fastest has already started to pin like crazy. Would I be better off using this one as a master to inoculate other pints or let this one go straight to the fruiting chamber? If it's pinning, is it kind of too late to use to spread around?
Another thought is to use half the cake to inoculate other pints and let the other half fruit away.
Thoughts?

cakes are kinda hard to break up and spread to other jars. That's where rye berries or wbs is used as ur spawn cause it breaks up easy in the jar then you do more grain to grain transfers.
Just dunk for 12hrs then roll and fruit in sgfc if you are still kinda learning.
Or if ur feeling froggy u could break up the cake into little pieces in a ziploc bag. Then mix that 50/50 with pasteurized coir sort of like a mini bulk or something.

Yes, I've definitely learned about cakes being too tough! I'm using straight grass seed! Next time I'll either use WBS or mix it with verm. Performed one shake already and masses are too tough to crumble!
Last time I dunked and rolled, it contaminated all my cakes. Next time I'll use boiled water and baked and nuked vermiculite.
Perhaps I'll take the best performing cake to fruit, the second or third best cakes I'll chop up with a sterile spoon and distribute to freshly sterilized pints.
This is my second attempt - my first was using a kit which took way too long and produced only one fruit. Now I've learned to make the PC my friend and making my own substrate..
