Not jello no more ;)
    #19030847 - 10/25/13 12:23 PM (10 years, 3 months ago)

Looks like G. Aeruginosus. They bruised green on the stems. I left everything in the woods today because I was just out for a walk. Im thinking I may have found my first Gymnopilus species! I also found some other cool stuff I will post pics of them next

2. In same area but growing from wood not from buried woodmlike ones above

Yeah, the first one is an Armillaria. I can't really tell what the second one is. Kind of looks like a Galerina like G. marginata.

Great things come to those with the patients to wait ... lol, I'm sure that's not what you wanna hear right now...but it is true

Make sure to print everything you find.  It helps you and others to ID your finds.  Also, be aware than G. marginata has a similar spore print to Gymnopilus species.

I have been printing them. Them Pholiotas spore printed brown orange the rest seemed to not want to drop spores. From what I hear the gymns will drop a bunch of spores willingly. So prolly none of them were gymns. There most likely all Gallerina lol. Except the bulbuls pins. I may take the tripod and do a time lapse with shoot with them. They were growing on the same log as some more Galerina which had me fooled. I was on it buddy lmao! I said to myself I bet these are Spectabilis or something like that. All this time I hadn't seen but one or two of the Gallerinas here and there and then they bust out in the fall after our first snow lol! The Armillaria had me fooled too. First ones I found that looked that way. I murdered couple hundred mushrooms today :frown: Had fun though. Made me appreciate where I live and my surroundings a bit more

Yeah they were great and exciting to photograph! The PNW is where its at. I can only imagine finding a huge Gymnopilus Luteus or a Psylocybe cubensis patch. The more potent they are the more interesting they are in a way aside from just finding such a beautiful entity!  Galerina yes toxic. Supposed to have Amatoxins :frown::cookiemonster:
