Tree dwelling mushroom I.D needed

Habitat: Found growing on mossy trees, by a stream (northwest England U.K)

Gills:
white, attached, gills,
Stem:
3 inches long, 2mm wide, white at top darker yellow  to brown futher down towards bottom, slimey, hollow,thick,

Cap:
about an inch across, light grey outside with darker centre, smooth and slippery,spherical.

Spore print color:
waiting for

Bruising:
doesn't seem to have bruised yet.

Other information:
very sweet and earthy smell

Just because I have not seen it does not mean it is conflicting.

I have only seen a small portion of the fungal species where I live and that is it.

I don't disagree but it sure does not look like any mycena I have seen.

OP's description somewhat makes up for any confusion that might be caused by image quality.
