Great, thanks a lot for the suggestions all! I really think music is such an important thing and I can't wait to experience it differently.
Recommended dose of P. Cub. dry to enjoy DSotM (first trip also)?

^ gotta love the sax!
Just had a thought - anyone else listen to Kendrick Lamar? Some chill rap with good vibes, nice music, etc.

I just love so much music and different styles, it's hard to choose what I wanna listen to. Guess I will just let the mushrooms choose.

Good call, can't argue with the mushroom when you are deep into it.

I have a ritual when it comes to tripping alone; I listen to the final songs of Lateralus with my eyes closed, I think it's their greatest achievement, and I agree, too much Tool can get too dark but that combination of Disposition Reflection and Triad is perfect! Beware of Faaip De Oiad though!

Ha, Faaip would have been much better had I not seen it coming on 2c-e one night. I know Tool too well for the darkness to bother me while tripping, but DRT is my favorite Tool montage as well, Triad's guitar solo makes my head explode every time.
Those kids are all amazing, but I have a soft spot for drummers and female vocalists, and jesus that kid really held them together. Danny's rhythms are nothing short of spectacular, so listening to him nail it was suprising. Hopefully, the singer and him will continue making music, cause she'll have a damn good voice after puberty.
As for my contribution, someone mentioned good sax players. Try this guy out, he uses his voice and a looping machine for everything, with a boss sax player alongside.

I just had to put lateralus in after writing that, and listen to DRT in the dark with my headphones on and volume LOUD. Does it everytime!
Nowhere to go now except King Crimson and Pharoah Sanders

I spent part of an acid trip in the court of the Crimson King, and it was interesting. It took me a while to warm up to Fripp's style when I initially heard of them.
Mimosa is also good, but I recommend his earlier stuff, before he started saturating his material with pop samples.
ALSO, mutherfucking Protest the Hero just had their newest album leaked, but it'll be available in the next week I think. It. Is. Fantastic.
#3 is my favorite so far. PTH is great tripping music, but then again, so is the Black Dahlia Murder

Already got it! Pretty decent album. I like Kezia best though.
