That's not what's happening.
What is happening is:
1. You made an incorrect and foolish statement. 2. It was pointed out to you that your statement was incorrect and foolish. 3. You continually doubled down on it. 4. You were wrong each time. 5. You lack the stones to simply say you were wrong.

Nope
Yup.
"A New York City man arrested this summer for possession of methamphetamine was actually carrying Jolly Rancher candies that cops mistook for a controlled substance, according to a federal civil rights lawsuit."

Just because that is how some random reporter worded it does not change that he was arrested for having jolly ranchers

Kindly provide a copy of the police report where the charge is possessing or purchasing Jolly Ranchers.
Until then perhaps walking away while you still have a shred of dignity left would be a good idea.

And it is really not the point here, arguing about dumb shit. Yes it takes 2 to tango and I am just as guilty of arguing about dumb shit.
The point is how fucked it is that police can get away with pulling this shit

We can agree that no actual meth was involved. He still was not arrested for purchasing or possessing Jolly Ranchers.
The Jolly Ranchers did not, as you claim, "get him arrested. Jolly Ranchers are inanimate, though tasty, objects.
You, repeating an incorrect and stupid statement, does not make it any less incorrect or stupid.

Different story about a different black guy arrested for a stupid reason. He had candy that supposedly tested as meth in a field test. Someone linked to a thread about it a couple dozen posts back.

Many people mis-allocate their resources, this type of behavior leads to poverty in many cases.
Many minorities are very image conscious and materialistic, this leads to wearing your wealth in some cases, expensive shoes, pants, shirts, belts, watches, ect.
People that accumulate vasts sums of wealth don't impulsively buy expensive items they don't really need, they conserve their resources and never end up in poverty, why is this such a difficult concept to understand?

Now here's the part that I'd love to see some evidence for, because it sounds like a bunch of racial stereotyping bullshit to me. Care to provide some sort of substantiation for your claim that "many minorities are very image conscious and materialistic" compared to white people?

It's not, you just slipped some unsubstantiated racism in there and acted like it was an obvious truth.

IMO they are, i dont mean like the gangster guy trying to look cool for his friends
but maybe his parents wearing a nice suit, which will help them get ahead in life, getting a job or ect
or dressing their kid nice to go to school
i wouldnt say its a bad thing, but actually quite propper
edit: i agree with the image conscious thing, not the materialistic thing

I know tons of affluent white men that usually dress like total shit, a basic pair of jeans and some old T-shirt for the most part, they just don't care about their appearance 90% of the time, their self esteem is not tied into their clothing.

I read up to page 6.. Why in the fuck are you girls still bickering over belts and who is an idiot/asshole etc?
I think you should all buy $400 belts and whip each other to orgasm or something, there is obviously some pent up tension and sexual/financial frustration abounding.
Meow.
The guy could be fucking loaded for all we know, hell, he's got money for a lawyer to sue over a belt related incident.. Doesn't sound like some hustling ghetto wino to me.
Play nicely, kids.

Okay, so your racist statements are based entirely in anecdotal evidence.
That's what I figured, which is why I'm calling
FYI, the most materialistic and image-conscious people I know are white males. There, now it's my anecdotal evidence vs. your anecdotal evidence. Now care to provide some facts and figures, or will you just admit you're making shit up?

"Blacks spend over 75% more than Whites on boys clothing."
"African American males between the ages of 13 and 24, who are less than 3% of total US population account for 10 percent of the $12 billion athletic shoe market."
"African American females, 6% of the total US population purchases 15% of the cosmetics industry."
http://africanamericansandspending.blogspot.com/2009/12/african-american-spending-habits.html
Black leadership has recognized this problem for a long time, when you have much less earning power on average and you spend 3-4 times more on material items, this leads to economic hardship. Why are facts that you don't like always racist?

Actually you can, I've seen it done multiple times with success.
Regardless even the most stylish and comfortable shoes are not worth that much.

You absolutely cannot wear running shoes with a suit and be taken seriously
I would literally lose clients if I did that.
Nice shoes cost money man.
