Amazed this hasn't been posted. Truly one of the most raw albums I have ever heard.
What a beautiful face I have found in this place That is circling all round the sun What a beautiful dream That could flash on the screen In a blink of an eye and be gone from me Soft and sweet Let me hold it close and keep it here with me, me
And one day we will die And our ashes will fly from the aeroplane over the sea But for now we are young Let us lay in the sun And count every beautiful thing we can see Love to be In the arms of all I'm keeping here with me, me
What a curious life we have found here tonight There is music that sounds from the street There are lights in the clouds Anna's ghost all around Hear her voice as it's rolling and ringing through me Soft and sweet How the notes all bend and reach above the trees, trees
Now how I remember you How I would push my fingers through Your mouth to make those muscles move That made your voice so smooth and sweet Now we keep where we don't know All secrets sleep in winter clothes With one you loved so long ago Now he don't even know his name
What a beautiful face I have found in this place That is circling all round' the sun And when we meet on a cloud I'll be laughing out loud I'll be laughing with everyone I see Can't believe how strange it is to be anything at all

One of the best song writers of the last 50 years as far as I'm concerned.

That was nice, Tribesman. Reminds me vaguely of an old NMH song.
For I am an engine and I'm holding on Through endless revisions to state what I mean For sweetness alone who flew out through the window And landed back home in a garden of green
You're riding alone in the back of a steamer And steaming yourself in the warm shower spray And water rolls on off the round captain's belly Who's talking to tigers from his cafeteria tray
And sweet babies cry for the cool taste of milking That milky delight that invited us all And if there's a taste in this life more inviting Then wake up your windows and watch as those sweet babies crawl away Oh oh dee dee dee dee dee dee dee dee
Also made me think you might like these other guys, Jose and James. Shot in the dark.

Thanks Tropism
I have heard the latter two, Jose Gonzalez is someone I listen to. James Vincent McMorrow I also enjoy listening to, but I've not heard of NMH and I like that song
My favourite Jose tune is Crosses, And by JVM it would be Old dark machine.
Glad you liked

Awesome, I'd almost rather you'd heard of them. I really enjoyed the emotion in your song, and the rawness really reminds me of NMH. Grab In The Aeroplane Over The Sea, you won't regret it.

Yeah, I like that
I tend mire towards the picking side, But I have wrote a few Strummers.

Can't resist the Tool in this thread. Maynard says so many things I feel -far better than I ever could.
A groan of tedium escapes me, startling the fearful. Is this a test? It has to be. Otherwise I can't go on. Draining patience. drain vitality. this paranoid, paralyzed vampire act's a little old.
But I'm still right here, giving blood and keeping faith. And I'm still right here. But I'm still right here, giving blood and keeping faith. And I'm still right here.
I'm gonna wait it out
If there were no rewards to reap, no loving embrace to see me through this tedious path I've chosen here, I certainly would've walked away by now.
I'm gonna wait it out
If there were no desire to heal The damaged and broken met along this tedious path I've chosen here, I certainly would've walked away by now.
I still may. And I still may. Be patient.
I must keep reminding myself of this...
If there were no rewards to reap, no loving embrace to see me through this tedious path I've chosen here, I certainly would've walked away by now. And I still may. And I still may. And I still may.
I'm gonna wait it out. I'm gonna wait it out. Gonna wait it out. Gonna wait it out.

Nice, I appreciate good finger picking. You have a soundcloud or anything?
Edit: Just had a flash back to JVM blowing me out of the water at a folk festival. Wondering where the hell all his bands equipment is and if I have the right time of his show he comes out with just his guitar and his beard and just starts playing this bricktotheface of a set. I'm tellin' ya, the dude had my attention after that.

Just heard this from the pub. I felt the need to post it here for those of you that don't make it over there.
