Justin Bieber's recent outing at Houston night club could stir trouble

October 22, 2013 HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Justin Bieber's late night clubbing in Houston is now getting the attention of the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission. Word of his late night partying here spread fast and so did a picture supposedly showing that underage pop star with a beer. Now the TABC says its looking into it, and the club promoter is coming to Bieber's defense.
The Nox nightclub in Houston Heights was a pretty hot spot on Friday night. And it's less the big party for Floyd "Money" Mayweather inside, but a provocative photo of the boxing champ's sidekick, 19-year-old Bieber, that's getting some major attention right now.
"Floyd, he was already partying and Justin just popped up in the club and he just joined in with the party crowd," said longtime Houston club promoter Lil Keith.
Lil Keith and his videographer Henry Adegbite sent eyewitness news this footage of 19-year-old Bieber partying it up inside Nox.
But a photo, courtesy of TMZ, shows the pop singer in the club allegedly holding what appears to be a bottle of Dos Equis beer.
Now the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission's launched an investigation into Nox nightclub.
We asked Lil Keith if he ever saw Bieber sipping on a brew at any time that night.
"The whole time he had FiJi water because, that's what Floyd drinks too, because Floyd don't even drink alcohol. Actually if there was alcohol in the area, it was from his friends," Lil Keith said.
A lieutenant from TABC tells Eyewitness News it began investigating Nox nightclub after receiving a complaint involving Bieber. Published reports claim the singer had a pretty busy night parting it up in Houston, including a stop at the strip club V-Live on Richmond. One of the dancers there tweeting from the handle 1real_diamond wrote, "@JustinBieber went ... in tonight!!"
And she posted a photo of stacks of cash.
Promoter Lil Keith says based on what he witnessed inside Nox, he believes the images may have been Photoshopped and believes TABC's investigation will go nowhere.
Neither publicists for Justin Bieber nor Floyd Mayweather have responded to our requests for comments about that party.
The TABC says it can't base this investigation solely on a photograph, and they'll be treating this case just like any other they handle. We'll let you know what comes of the TABC investigation.

When I was in high school the TABC would always raid parties and shit. They don't even need a fucking warrant I think they can just come into your house and see what your doing if they have a suspison if minors are conuming alcohol.

Make whatever arguments you want about him being old enough to go to war, strip clubs, etc. I tend to agree with those arguments. But under current alcohol law, whether you agree with it or not, how is a photograph of him imbibing alcohol on this club's premises not a basis for an investigation? It's certainly not sufficient to press charges, but since when does the government not want to investigate anyone they possibly can for intoxicant related charges, especially when it may lead to fines and asset forfeiture? The biebs is still a child, when it comes to alcohol. Why aren't they thinking of the childrens???

because most people here have drank alcohol by the time they were his age and would likely be jealous of him drinking in a prestigious club at his age

You're right, as much as I dislike him, I personally wouldn't try to prosecute him or anyone else for having a drink. But, we're talking about the department of Alcoholic Beverage Control. Specifically, the one in Texas. I think we can probably both agree that Texas is a bit conservative and has very low tolerance for this type of thing or anything else involving any drugs/substances. But that's mostly irrelevant. I just wonder why a photo of him drinking alcohol on the club's property isn't just cause for them to at least look into it. Hell, someone could claim to overhear me whisper to someone else that I thought the club might be involved in selling weed/coke/whatever and that would probably be enough to generate a SWAT raid. This seems like quite a double standard.

I hope you are being sarcastic . . . A rumor does not warrant a SWAT raid

Haha yeah this is very borderline for drug related stories. A new thread isn't started everytime a celebrity gets busted. I could care less really. If it's Tommy Chong or Willie Nelson I could almost understand but why Bieber?
