Clogged toilet question for you handyman/plumbers out there

I unscrewed my toilet and popped it off the wax ring, I put it on its back so I can push a toilet auger (toilet snake) in it. But I can't even get it to push out whatever is caught in there.
I tried pushing it from both side of the U shape drain in the toilet and I can't get it to push through.
What could I do???
PS: This is really fucking nasty...

Hey, I saw you had just bumped like a 10 year old thread about a clogged toilet then deleted it. You just going through reading all the posts about clogged toilets on the Shroomery or something?

why not post on a handyman forum? pics would help as well.
I assume you tried plunger, drano, pressurized air unclogger (forgot what its called)
If you have already taken the toilet off the seal you must be getting desperate. You know you have to replace the wax seal now.

I saw it too. It's the third similar thread.
Patlal, it's clogged solid? My advice would be to eat more fibre.

Get some drano or some such that is really caustic and pour it in from where the wax ring is. Let sit a few mins and try your snake again. If its compacted this sometimes works. Your best bet is a powered snake though. Its what the pros will bring out. Sometimes you can get drill powered ones cheap.

OMFG, I give up....
I cant get a fucking clothes hanger through the toilet or a tv cable or the snake... some of my idiot roommmates probably flushed a rock or some shit.
Now there's shit everywhere... I'll have to bleach my floors. Bunch of fucking idiots...

Does your roommates have kids? They could have dropped a toy inside. Heard about it before.
Or maybe u live with women? If they dropped a large tampoon or even lots of paper towels, that could also clog it real good.
If you cant budge the toilet snake, you might need to get a powered one to push everything caught inside the toilet.
Apparently, The Home Depot has Power Drain Cleaner Rentals, but you might be in Canada, so not sure if it will work for you.
Im afraid if its too stuck, and u cant find a powered drain cleaner, u will have to call an expert who has a powered one.
Good luck - LC
