    #19019663 - 10/23/13 02:29 PM (10 years, 3 months ago)

Yes, those are probably cyanescens. Check for bluing and purple spores. How did they end up in the Netherlands?

200 species of psilocybes

Am guessing this isn't either one.... Maybe Alan or joust can help?

Sorry, maybe not the good place to post, I grow them myself on woodships, but now I don't know if it's azur or cyan.

Why do you say this?

I can see bluing on the big one in the second picture...
They sure look like cyanescens to me.

Don't look like cyans to me... But could easily be
Thick stem, no wave in the cap...

Would guess Psilocybe atrobrunnea or serbica to me

Bluing is noticeable on many psilocybe species

But I am no expert

It's a trait of adult cyans

http://www.shroomery.org/12501/Psilocybe-cyanescens

But not a requirement ...

Certainly not. Azurescens caps are more 'conic' when young and in their mature stage they are 'broadly convex', cyanescens are described as "becoming nearly plane with a low umbo, often wavy, sometimes upturned in age"

P. Azurescens in the Netherlands? Um.... No? Unless someone is playing with spore over there...

From holland:
Psilocybe liniformans var. liniformans**
Psilocybe puberula***
Psilocybe semilanceata*
Psilocybe serbica**
Psilocybe strictipes

P. Serbica still seems like a good bet to me...  But... Have been and could be wrong!

He put them there, I think he used both cyanescens and azurscens cultures.
