N. Georgia yard shrooms.

Habitat:
1. & 2. North of Atlanta. Both in grassy(not sure what type) front yard growing in patches side by side. Pines nearby.

Gills:
1. Yellow pores. Slimy.
2. White gills not attached.

Stem:
1. Yellow/brown. Thick. Solid.
2. Pink/white. Smooth.

Cap:
1. Yellow/brown. all of which were at least 2in diameter.
2. Some light pink some almost red with a slight fade. Most small caps. Larger caps were

#1 looks like a Bolete sp. and #2 is a Russula sp. called "the sickener" sorry i cant remember the species name right now

all suillus species are eddible at least in europe is so. you russula is most likely not edible.

Russula emetica is commonly known as the "sickener".  This is not R. emetica.  The pink coloring seen on the stem rules that out.  They still are not likely to be edible though.  :cool:

i thought the stem didnt have that pure white look to it...figured it was just weird lighting... good call :thumbup:
