ID request..haven't seen before...
    #19019471 - 10/23/13 01:49 PM (10 years, 4 months ago)

found on the bank of a little creek, moss growing around it, but it might have been growing from the dirt...not 100%. and sorry for the picture quality, i swear, i can do better... i was literally ankle deep in freezing cold creek water trying to hold back brush and fend of wasps while not dropping my camera .... sorry..hollow stem, no print but it looks like their are black spores going down the stipe?? thanks for the looks
see em? lol

thanks again!

Lacrymaria lacrymabunda seems very likely...

Lacrymaria was split out of Psathyrella. I still don't understand the criteria for Lac's. Especially what separates the species velutina from lacrymabunda.

I think spore ornamentation separates them.  The spores look cool under a scope.

I wouldn't be surprised if they shared a similar habitat to ovoids... I use Lac's as indication that I'm in the right areas to support P. caerulescens growth.
