would it make a difference if i used a syringe for my rye grain jars instead of agar dishes? would it be the same speed or a lot slower? i would like to start growing bulk. also what kind of jars should i be using for rye grain?

widemouth quarts if you can find them or small mouth
The difference is theres millions of spores and then their not Always Clean, where agar is alot less genetics and you know its Clean everytime

well i bought sterilized syringes, i just don't want to keep buying more and more of them. i want to keep producing mycelium without buying anymore spores. if i used a syringe how many cc's should i inject in a quart jar? once i get once quart growing fine, i can produce 10 jars, then i can do 100 correct? i want to keep the process going on.

Agar would definitely be faster and more consistent if you isolated.

^ Key words...
Using spore in a syringe, or spores on agar will make no difference.
There is still going to be millions of unpredictable genetics.
But if you start isolating the culture you them start to narrow them down to a select few.

If you plan on isolating...if not at least you can see if it's clean or not before you knock up your jars.

You can inoc agar with spore solution, but only use one drop, or it can encourage bacteria. Its a good way to get several grain masters from one drop of spore solution. I would inoc a drop onto a couple agar plates, and also a few qt jars of grains. You can just inoc a few qt jars of grains, spawn one to a small tray of coir specifically for spore prints, and g2g the other two into like 20 more.
After you do a g2g, there will be a few tiny grains left over in the master jar, you can place one of those leftover grain kernels on an agar plate, and make a transfer from the very outer leading edge of mycelium as it grows away from the grain.
You now got a culture on agar to isolate and make more grain masters from, 20 colonizing spawn jars from the g2g, and a small tray colonizing for spore prints. If you want to keep it going for years, you're gonna have to take prints from your every most recent grow and store them in a dry area at room temp. Either that or get some test tube slants to store a live culture in for years.
If you just take prints from every grow, at any time you can just pour up some agar, use a sterile inoc loop to get some of the spores onto the center of the plate, make transfers of healthy myc to new plates, and start all over again with the g2g's and spore printing. If senescence becomes an issue you gotta re-start from spore or store a culture in some test tube slants
