10/29 UPDATE:
The minitub fruited on 10/18 (tub 1), developed hyphal knots on 10/22, started to pin on 10/25ish and pins grew about 1.5in by 10/26. Since then, growth has somewhat slowed down drastically.
Much after having placed the tub in fruiting conditions, I realized MSG (monotub shotguns) do NOT need a fan running in the room, per Doc_T and Frank. I was doing the exact opposite - a fan was kept running for ONE WHOLE WEEK. This would explain the side pinning, as the dunk water was absorbed and slowly evaporated from the sides keeping humidity ideal for pinning.
(DROPPED my cell on the bottom right hand corner - almost had a panic attack...)
This corner was NOT fully colonized while fruiting - the coir/verm was misted heavily when dry and it continued to colonize, slowly. Now its looking sexy with a decent pinset and fast growers...
What the heck is up with this giant sized mushie? Its about the size of 2 man thumbs, 3in long and grew faster than ANY other pin on the sub...

Currently, all 4 tubs have been placed in fruiting, including the coir/coffee/verm monotub (tub 4), which was colonizing for a full 7 days until fruited on 10/28. Wax paper has been placed on this sub, as well as the minitub fruited on 10/26 (tub 3). More pics of these tubs will be added in a day or two... once we actually have something to show, =-P.
Tub 1 doesnt have the pinset that was hoped for, but at least the darn fan was turned off and now only runs for about 5min total/day in 30sec to 1min increments.

10/31 UPDATE TIME!!!:
Its been a full 2 days since my last update and the mushies in tub 1 are looking superb!
Temp has been kept in the 68-72°F (20-22°C) range during the last few days. Heavy misting with ice water 2-3x per day and fanning shortly after. Mistings bring temp down to 68° (20°C). 12/12 lighting - from 5am to 7am with 5000k bulb, from 7am to 5pm tubs are placed in the brightest part of the room, by a window (using phone app to determine brightness). 5-15min of direct sunlight per day.
Couldn't help myself but to touch the caps of fruits every so often. Boy, they're much more "moist" than I imagined! These are going to be a paiin to pick, as they're mostly side clusters... Considering this is my very first tub EVAR, I don't really mind =-).
Take a look at these pics!
An absolute GIANT mushie formed and continues to push 5.5in in length and 1.75in in STEM width. Just crazy... The base is actually bruising as this particular fruit is growing sideways.
Notice how its bullying the crap out of that side fruit...

Cloning Question: If I were to clone this bad boy, will the WHOLE tub be full of these giants??
I, unfortunately, do not have a scale but probably will by the time this thing is cracker dry...

so you dunk ur substrate before 1st flush? well maybe not dunk "proper" but the 24 ounces of water. Does that help with flush and fruit size? I have 4 mini bucket mono's going, not yet introduced to fruiting, so maybe I will try and hydrate them like u did. They are 1 qt WBS and 1.5 qt. pasteurized coir/verm/coffee/gyp, brought up to normal field capacity. What amount of water would u recommend? I know u said u prep ur sub a bit on the dry sub in anticipation for a dunk, so maybe I should use less, if any...?

I liked to believe "dunking" did help with the fruit size. Especially with my MSG (mono shotgun) tub where the tub has a couple dozen 1/4" holes and the sub tends to dry up.
Considering your subs are much smaller, relatively speaking, and were not made on the dry side, I would attempt to do something like 2-4oz an see how well it is absorbed.
The only reason why I "dunked" before 1st flush was because my substrate was rather dry from the get-go. you may not need to add water before the 1st flush, however. Perhaps consider it after the first flush...

UPDATE on 4 Tub grow:
Tub 1: Coir/Verm + Gypsum 3.34qt of grain spawn 1:1.66 Spawn to Sub Ratio Net Dry Weight (1st & only Flush): 4.19oz Fruiting temp: 68-72°F Outcome: -Flushed beautifully, -major side pinning due to dry surface, -showed contam white mold towards end of flush, -fully contamed after 1st flush 4hr cold water dunk

Tub 2: Coir/Verm + Gypsum 5.44qt of grain spawn 1:1.22 Spawn Ratio Net Dry Weight (1st & only Flush): 6.35oz Fruiting temp: 65°F Outcome: -lots of pinning, mostly on inside of tub -little side pinning -showed contam white mold during pinning -mold and sub was salted heavily, aborted 30% of pins -tub isolated to 65°F room

Tub 3: Coir/Verm + Gypsum 4.22qt of grain spawn 1:1.29 Spawn Ratio Net Dry Weight (1st & only Flush): 4.02oz Fruiting temp: 68-72°F Outcome: -7/10 pinning rating -white mold/trich was salted during pinning -70% of pins aborted -tub isolated, grow room contained NO light -16 total fruits (Pic taken before initial harvest. Harvest lasted a full week in the dark)

Tub 4 Coir/Coffee/Verm + Gypsum 43%/11%/46% 5.38qt of grain spawn 1:1.22 Spawn Ratio Net Dry Weight (1st & only Flush): 6.60oz (PRELIM WEIGHT - ABOUT 95% DRIED) Fruiting temp: 75-85°F Outcome: -SUPERB pinset -Cluster galore -Fruited at high temp, thinner fruits with similar yield -Salted through first pinning and flush - careful to avoid pins -aborted 15% of pins

Total yield from 4 tubs, 1 flush per tub: 21oz
Summary:
Every tub contamed. Tub1 contamed towards the end of the 1st flush whereas the other 3 tubs contamed during pinning. I have narrowed down my contam infestation to G2G'ing from jars to spawn bags. I also noticed some bags are getting small holes on the bottom folds during PCing. I have a small 8qt PC, could be the cause? Tub1 was the only tub without spawn bags and was the only one to \show signs of contams right at the end of the first flush, not during pinning or colonization.
