How do these fruits look?
    #19015744 - 10/22/13 07:55 PM (10 years, 3 months ago)

I am very excited to see some fruits starting. These are the best 2 of the 6 cakes after birthing 3 days ago. How do they look so far? Any input would be great! Relatively low temperature, been fanning and misting well (I think), 6500 K light on 12/12 schedule, and SGFC. Amazon cubensis.

Thanks in advance.

Haha, yeah, I thought some of them looked a bit screwy. We'll see how they turn out. It's not necessarily a bad thing though, right? Anything I can do to make them "normal"? Or is it likely because of the ~68F temperature they are at?

Thanks!

I used to get a lot of mutants when I grew on cakes but I never see them growing bulk. I think I read somewhere that it was because cakes were a little too nutritious

I only did cakes twice and then cloned those fruits and started agar and grains. Most of my mutants on bulk might have been due to the UV reptile light I was using at first (I had one left over from my chameleon) but I no longer use them and almost never see mutants. The pleasant exception to that were APE which are a pretty messed up looking beast to start with.

Interesting. Think my next grow I will try bulk, just for something different!

Looks like crappy genetics to me. Tiny caps that opened quickly...they won't grow much bigger and you'll have a crappy yield! Probably nothing that you've done wrong though OP

Currently more of them are coming out more proper. Just the ones pictured that are screwy. The ones pictured are still growing, and getting very big now! Others are turning out more like they should be. Hopefully better in next flush!
