Gymnopilus Luteofolias?

I think I found one of the mushrooms I was looking for.

It looks a bit different in the environment I found it in than the photos I saw online.

Now, I'm no expert.. but from what I gather, when a mushroom has a bright blue pin the color of a shiny topaz that's a good omen, right?

Habitat: Coniferous woods, usually along the trail or just off of it
Location: Vancouver Island, BC, Canada
Gills: Gills are pink and purple
Stem: Length: 3-8 cm long, thick diameter, color: pink and purple, hollows out as it matures
Cap: Diameter, color: rosy pink on younger ones, color fades as they mature, mottled, has rings, color is darker in center and fades lighter towards the edge, slimy in moist areas, spherical, younger ones have concave caps which become convex as they mature
Spore print color: Yellow
Bruising: Turquoise
Other information: Fairly prone to larvae

And lastly the spore print. It didn't turn out great. I blame the shape of the caps.

Is staining turquoise a sure sign or are there deadly mushrooms out there that also stain that color?
Thanks for your input.

If it helps you or anybody else who's reading this in the future; they have vastly different textures.

I have picked maybe 100 or so this season. I have not seen one lactate. Not one.

Do you mean they vary a lot in texture?

No, I mean that the range of textures of L. deliciosus, L. rubrilacteus, etc (of lactarius in general) and the range of textures for Gymnopilus species do not everlap at all.

Ahhhh, I see.
I chewed a G. luteofolius a couple of nights ago. Not too bitter, and a reasonably likable texture. I once tasted what I thought to be G. sapineus and that was so intensely bitter. So bitter that I liked it.

Aww.. so they are lactarius rubrilacteus, not what I was looking for. I noticed one young one that exuded latex instead of turning turquoise when the gills were damaged, I thought it was another type of mushroom.
I guess I'll keep looking for Pluteus Salicinus, I think it's out there somewhere.
