How to make chili red?

So I've spent years building this delicious chili recipe. Great stock, nice and spicy, thick, and delicious with chunks of tender, sweet beef.
Only problem is that it's brown in color. Tastes great, but looks like diarrhea. Sort of a turn-off.
How can I make the color red, without adding food coloring?

What is your recipe?
You will most likely have to change your recipe to make it more red. First thing that comes to mind is paprika.

Recipe is sort of involved and a lot of work, but here's the basics. Two pots needed. It's reasonably healthy. Sweet potatoes are on the Mayo clinic list of healthiest foods, steel cut oats are fantastic, and the beef adds a lot of protein. I'm trying to figure out how to get red beans into the mix--those are also on the Mayo clinic list.
STOCK: - 4-5lbs beef bones, necks, and short rib/chuck bones (depending on meat you use; see below). Two smoked pork knuckles. - 6 long hot peppers, de-seeded. Carrots, onions, celery, garlic, bay leaves, peppercorns. # Simmer bones till you get some nice browning and fat on the bottom. Slice and brown carrots, onions, celery, peppers, and then garlic at the very end (burns fast). # Add distilled or purified water, bay leaf, peppercorns. Simmer for 3-4 hours; till spicy and delicious.
CHILI: - 3-4 lbs. Short rib (my favorite, but pricey), or chuck; cubed - Diced sweet potatoes - McCann's slow-cooking steel cut oats - Tomato paste, worchestershire sauce, tomatoes, 1 small can chipotles, vinegar, salt, fresh ground pepper. # Sear meat till you get a nice frond # Add stock # 30 mins later add sweet potatoes (they melt into this delicious sweet sauce) # 45 mins later bring to boil and add oats. They also thicken the sauce. # Cook for another 45 mins.
Taste, taste, taste... and be careful not to over-cook the meat! You want it to still have some texture, and not be mushy.

the oats are what are diluting the color, oats release starch which will always make what you put in them a little more pale in color. what the hell are you doing putting oats in a chili anyway? keep it in your breakfast, not in chili. also the sweet potatoes will also alter the color, try roasting them whole then cooling and dicing and adding at the end or peel and dice and saute seperately before adding to the chili at the end as a topping if you must, again sweet pototos aren't typical chili fodder. regular paprika will not alter the taste too much, other than that, more tomato paste (which you are frying before adding liquid right? hope so) additional tomato product would be the only solution here, food coloring is definite no no, again this isn't a red velvet chili, keep coloring in cakes and pastries if you must.

Tomato if you want a more mild chili, lots paprika or any other chili powder if you want a more complex flavor. You can get not so spicy chili powders for cheap at the mexican grocer just FYI. Also use hungarian paprika if you can find it. It's much more rich and strong than whatever it is they usually have in stores.

From the first time I tried spanish smoked paprika, I have never turned back. For me it's now essential that any chili con carne has big doses of it.

The concept here is for a healthy chili. Oats, sweet potatoes, and red beans are all very healthy. In addition, the oats thicken the chili really nicely.

People are calling for paprika and thats true, but you can use in addition red bell peppers small cut, they give good color, great texture to the chillin and of course good taste basically like paprika!
Also how are the comments on your chilli, Im considering making it some time!

Haven't entered this one yet... will let you know, but I really love it.
Last batch I did use the red bell pepper idea... it does help!
Lately I've been cutting down on the amount of oats and sweet potatoes, so it's mostly tasty, tender beef.
