Habitat: Growing in coniferous tree mulch and debris

Gills: Close together Tan colored attached to stem

Stem: About an inch long pinky finger width white with ball at base

Cap: Flat dark tan in center getting lighter towards edge brown line of spots next to edge white on edge

General Location: Washington State on peninsula



If someone could ID these mushrooms that would be greatly appreciated Im hoping to find an active mushroom. I found these under a few fir trees in my yard near by were a few apple trees and a lot of other mushrooms. Thanks in advance.

My first thought just now was Hebeloma, and since it is with conifers and OP describes the caps as darker than the photos show H. mesophaeum seemed plausible (but we are not going to know the species for sure that way).
