which is better?

Sprinting or jogging? I feel like jogging hasn't been doing much for me, but then I started doing speed intervals and started seeing some fat loss around my muscles making them look for defined.
Should I just start sprinting one mile for my cardio? I feel it would be more effective.

I personally always preferred interval running as opposed to jogging. got way better results.

Sprinting/interval training is much better for you if you are attempting to lose weight. It is also very beneficial when it comes to aerobic training which many people are not aware of (and of course benefits the anaerobic system).
Do around 8 - 12 rounds of anything between 15-30 sec. sprinting with equal time of easy jogging/walking is the way you want to go. Start lower around 6 rounds if you want and work your way up.

Also I found that whoever is making these comparison images is racist as fuck, it's always skinny white guy vs. ripped black sprinter But seriously, sprinting is way better, less boring, much easier to get the effects you're looking for in less time.

So I tried sprinting a mile and decided I need to smoke way less weed in order to do that. My 400m seems to be around 47 seconds.
I like that I can get such a good cardio session in in under a minute

That is some fast ass running for a 400m. I never ran track but that sounds like a quick time to me from what little I know.

It is pretty fast. I looked it up and it seems that the upper 40s is where most competitive TEENS run. The pros run low 40s,I think the fastest is 43.something.

Sprinting increases HGH, if you sprint for more than 8 seconds on each sprint. I'd go with sprinting: more fun, better results, less time consumed. You'll actually gain muscle instead of lose it

Running is just like weight lifting. You have to add variety to keep your muscles engaged and work every group. Alternate long distance jogs with shorter distance interval running.

Very informative article on sprinting that will teach you everything you need to know. (Long read, but worthwhile) check it out when you have time. http://www.simplyshredded.com/crank-it-up-sprinting-towards-single-digit-body-fat-percentages-with-high-intensity-training.html
