Habitat: North East of England. Longish lush grass.
Gills: LEFT: Purplish white. RIGHT: Light brownish orange.
Stem: LEFT: Roughly 5cm long, 6mm in diameter, solid, quite thick. RIGHT: Roughly 4cm long, maybe 1mm in diameter, solid, very thin.
Cap: LEFT: One is maybe around 7cm and the other nearer 5cm. Purplish white, slightly slimy/sticky, quite flat, maybe just concave. RIGHT: Very small, maybe 1cm at a push. Brownish orange that is a dome shape, concave.
Spore print color: I know this is important but I haven't got one yet! If yous can't tell I'll reply to this post in a few days with the spore print colour.
Bruising: None.

Its hard to say without a look at the gills, but the first looks like maybe Lepista tarda.
The second I would guess Conocybe filaris.
In the future get photos of the top and bottom of the mushroom in question. It makes things so much easier to identify.

Agreed on both guesses, though the latter is in Pholiotina now.

I would call the right one Pholiotina rugosa.

It does look like that's the accepted name these days. I can't keep up with all the changes in taxonomy. DNA has really been shaking things up!
Thanks for the heads up Blue-FunGuy.

These are both pretty iconic species. I don't think that's necessary. Just for future requests it would be nice.
Unless of course you were thinking of eating the Lepista - then for sure update with new photos first.
