There are a LOT of really interesting and possibly convincing reincarnation stories. I dont even believe its all that likely that reincarnation is real but some of these tales make you think about it.

I tend to think about all the :jennajameson: I let get away.  If I reincarnate I'm going after it with a vengeance.

but in a loving spiritual way of course.

Stories are just that - stories. They may be entertaining, but there is nothing remotely convincing to this poster.

Stories can be fact or fiction and skepticism is just that - skepticism.

By looking at Google images most houses are white on Barra, I bet there are many English shepherd dogs there and has been throughout the years, Robertson is a typical English name. Other than that, what was spectacular? The beach? Barra is a small island.

The boy missed on "his" father dying in some kind of a car crash, as well as the death of a child. This should be the most vital memories IMO.

I believe the boy picked up these words at different occasions and combined them together, this or some sort of genetic function in the mind we're not aware of - not reincarnation.

I don't know the boy kept say the father was "knocked down" and others put in the words car crash.

Why would the mother or "others" say the boy claimed his father got murdered by a car if the boy didn't say so? Doesn't make sense in the least.

The music and scenery seemed to catch my attention more than what was actually said, until I got to grips.

Dunno about this documentary, but Stanislav Grof collected some VERY convincing "evidence" in my opinion.  I mean, there's always room to hammer in a wedge of doubt due to the nature of the self-reporting and not being able to control variables and whatever scientific method stuff we need to do.  But Grof has some stuff that built more confidence in the idea for me.  I don't guess it really matters either way, but it's def interesting.

Oh, and first post in a long time!  I'm baaaaaaack.

Welcome back.

The thing with the reincarnation concept is that it cannot be proven as separate from remote instances of psychic perception.  While possible, i'm far more inclined to believe that one can be especially receptive of distinct aethyric imprints of others' lives, even if not possessing any other psychic traits, rather than sharing the soul of vessels past.

A belief in reincarnation alters one's spiritual disposition.  Beliefs influence the manner in which one goes about hir life, both consciously and subconsciously.

Why? If you have no memory of "your" previous incarnations then the concept of reincarnation is no different than a shared psychic or superconscious memory.

There's mo difference and no point. That's what pseudospiritials hiding their death anxiety don't understand. There's no difference between atheist death and death with reincarnation.
