casing help
    #19011133 - 10/21/13 10:40 PM (10 years, 3 months ago)

hi, i was planing on doing my first bulk grow. And i was wondering if i should do a casing layer, and if i decide to, do i just spread the layer evenly across the colonized substrate or should i cover the sides also.

i'm planing on going from a lc< rye berries < hpoo+coir , then case with coir and verm in a mono tub

this is my first bulk grow so any suggestions or tips are greatly appreciated.

A casing layer is not really needed if growing cubes.

But if you do decide to go that route, let the substrate fully colonize, then apply a thin casing layer over just the surface of the substrate.

Place back into colonization conditions for another couple days, or until you see mycellium poking thru most of it.
