Did they bruise?

It looks a bit like Galerina marginata to me. Do not eat!

Hehe, very nice. Sometimes you'll see cyans and galerinas growing together, since they like the same kind of habitat. Try to handle the galerinas as little as possible if you're picking the cyans.

ya, ill avoid them. they threw me off because usually gallerinas seem to be intrusive in small amounts and these were colonized in groups of 20+. spore print is looking to be rust colored.

The annulus looks to be a bit too well developed for Galerina marginata. I think they are Pholiotina rugosa. Either way they are deadly.
Pay close attention to what color the gills should be in all stages of development to weed out the deadlies. Remember that blue from cyans can rub off on other mushrooms, but if you look carefully it looks a bit different from bruising where the flesh changes color where it is damaged.
Orange-ish gills on younger cyans are normal, on a mature one orange gills indicate a deadly for sure!
(there are edible lookalikes with orange gills also, but if you just have those two species....the orange gilled ones will be deadly)
Also pay attention to the texture of the stem and the cap, and the way the gills look. You can keep a collection of deadlies around similar to how shop keepers save counterfiet money to show new employees.

Just be sure to label the bag well, skull and crossbones, etc...
A fun thing to do with your deadlies would be to try the meixner test to see if you can use newspaper and hcl to detect the toxin. http://www.mykoweb.com/TFWNA/P-17.html
